People love a moan, we have to balance the squad this week.

Would I prefer Sergio to Davies? Yes, but if Jose is rotating that means Sergio plays Chelsea and United, Davies today and Thursday.

Winks alternatives are Sissoko and Tanguy. Tanguy will play Tuesday after the full 90 on Thursday. Sissoko doesn't add anything more than Winks.

Lucas is fresh meaning so can cover Son and Kane who need to preserve energy. Lamela and Stevie available for Tuesday and Thursday.

Dele is dropped, plenty of games this week. He will get a chance and its on him to take it.

Not so valid. The 19th man v rarely comes into frame. Not surprised Gedson was the squad man in that role today - Dele not in stadium to fill in.

There’s no natural RB cover on the bench, Sissoko can cover there, so Gedson does seem a like for like replacement in that sense.

Toby has played RB, as has Dier.
Jose has also said Gedson was an option at RB, and probably has the pace and fitness over the other 2 now

I knew Jose would have a dig at Ole for the goalpost joke. He can’t help himself ?

I suppose so, doesn't look good for Dele anyway.

Nope, especially Mourinho's comments. Dragon said last week something along the lines of "Dele has knuckled down since being dropped and Jose is happy"...

I wasn't convinced at the time, as knew it'd only take one mediocre performance in a game, and it's starting to look a bit bleak for Dele.

It would have had to come on pretty quickly. If his headache is so bad that he’s been pulled you would have thought they’d have pulled him earlier with the precautions.

Maybe he had one but didn't mention it? I won't speculate too much, but don't think it'd take too much in today's climate for the club doctor to recommend pulling a player from the squad if illness related.

that’s a really poor back 4 for me and simply not top 4 quality. Both CB’s have concentration lapses, Davies is Davies and jury out on Doc so far being a WB shoved into a back 4. Can only hope the Skriniar move comes off and Reggie is fit soon. As for winks, dear oh dear picked yet again

It should be enough for Newcastle though.

I thought Alli gave enough of a reaction on Thursday to get on the bench. Unless he starts next game this is getting disproportionate.
