Who’s Dyche going to blame today? The ref? VAR? Foreigns? Red passports?

I don't think there can be any complaints. Tight game, where they switched off just once. He'll probably highlight how they restricted us, especially in the second half.

Fucking hell that was a tough watch. :stop:

Can we just celebrate that in a game of macho back and forth it was was SONNY that got the header. He is indispensable. Amazing from him. So fucking good. He is such a good player.

Sonny = ?

‪I don’t really care about the performance today all I care about is the 3 points we won ‬

‪But I have to say Davies & Doherty as a fullback pairing is awful ‬

‪Shoutout to Sissoko tho, even though he’s a shit technically he ran like a madman in the second half. Also Kane isn’t just our best forward he’s our best defender ‬
and midfielder

I love these games. We dug in, fought, and the goal came. Huge respect to burnley too, if they play like that, they’ll certainly take points off our rivals. But at the same time, fucking awful fixture and glad to get these bunch of lumps at turf moor out the way.

Another Kane-Son combo goal. I think they are now joint second with a couple of other duos. Gaining up on the current record holders (Henry + another)

edit - it’s drogba & Lampard that holds the current record and our boys are joint second

To quote Will:

“when people ask if I like football I say yes, but not Burnley, Burnley can fuck off!”

Important win against horrible opposition!

Get. In.

Didn’t deserve the 3 points but after giving away 4 points in successive home games we were probably due a win like that. 9 points out of 9 on the road - now please start winning at home lads!

Job grimly done. By the usual suspects.

Shout-out to the entire Spurs defence, pus Højbjerg and Sissoko, who dealt with every Burnley attack with great organisation and commitment. Especially Alderweireld.

Davies motm Thursday, pretty poor tonight. Thought Dier and especially Toby were very good.

Yep. Toby may be past his best and can now struggle against quicker and more agile opponents, but if I had to pick one of our defenders to play a solid defensive shift it would still be him.

That was a crap game and a great result. Pluses, the centre backs were good (and the right selection against wood and Barnes), Hojbjerg always available, Harry worked hard all night. Thought the biggest flaw was the full backs - they were the ones with the space against that narrow back 4 (or 6) and the delivery wasn’t good enough. But they didn’t create much and we won with a moment of quality. I’ll take that and a clean sheet quite happily

I know watching Burnley is painful and they're anti-football and cynical and all that, but I thought they were very good today and have to give them credit. As poor as we were, we won’t play many harder games this year. Great 3 points
