Sell.

Money can be used to improve squad further then.

Had so many chances and blown them all.
I wonder if any of the clubs with a bit of money will be interested.

The site above has him on £100k a week.

It's always easier to sell players on their way up than down. I think he needs a new start and find a team where he fits in. But in the modern world money rules, we have to hope there's a club with money out there who see him as fitting into their team.

He believes his own hype.

The best Dele is the one who ran and stretched centre backs. He was essentially a fox in the box who dovetailed Kane excellently by having very few touches of the ball outside of the box.

This Dele is a joke. He killed nearly every single counter we had and you could hear Mourinho screaming at him. I’ve no idea why he now thinks he needs to drop deep and collect the ball. He really isn’t as good on the ball as he seems to think he is. He also has a weird obsession with running then stopping. There’s absolutely no urgency in his game.

I was all for him trying to find his old self but he hasn’t been the same for 2 seasons. We need to sell him now whilst his stock is still (somehow) fairly high.

I’ve been one of the people defending Dele, but he was woeful tonight, a really lazy performance, don’t expect to see him starting again any time soon, don’t see why Jose would trust him again. I wouldn’t.

I can't believe I'm finding myself defending him after the battering I have given him but I can't blame him for dropping deep to get more involved and trying to link play; Because that is what Jose wants from his number 10. The problem is Dele doesn't have the ability to do that and never has apart from the odd glimpse of vision here and there.

So this ends one way and one way only. Dele himself needs to move away to play football but I very much doubt unless there is a serious injury crisis if he ever gets picked for England again due to the likes of Grealish, Foden and Madison who have all gone past him.

I think he will have his moments during the next 10 years and maybe if he can move to Germany he might win something, but I just can't see which big team in England or even the teams slighty underneath where his ego will want to play will require him.

Low on confidence and in a very changed team but he just can’t pass 5 yards at the moment, giving the ball away a bit with risky passes is fine but far too often from dele.
But whole team weren’t at the races tonight

We lost more than 5 mil with him.
We spended a lot of time developing him that could've been used in another one

You could argue he made us alot of money, would we have got top 4 each year we did without him? I doubt it.

I think he needs to go but he's been incredible value for money, to suggest otherwise is nonsense.

As someone who in the past ran what could’ve been called a Dele Alli fan account, it’s sad that there were days where we’d have laughed down the phone at concrete offers of £50m/£60m+ but now I’d be stunned if anyone even enquired around the £40m mark. He’s well and truly peaked.

I thought he was one of our better players first half.

Certainly none of the changes helped turn the game.

bemused really.

He needs to play off of a target man to see the best of him now. He's at his best in and around the box. He doesn't fit in here anymore.

He was awesome for us when our system was to get the best out of him. That Tottenham doesn't exist anymore and he's the one who doesn't fit into the way we play now.

I'd rather sell him for a decent fee and bring in a top CB. It would benefit the team much more than even a peak form Dele as our system now wouldn't get the best of peak form Dele. I don't see peak form Dele happening here now though.

Just the usual rubbish performance. Still hoping he turns it around but I hold very little hope.

I’m no great fan of Alli these days but I’m also not loving Mourinho’s agenda against him.

You can't call it an agenda when he was bigging him up at every opportunity last season. Dele is simply massively out of form, and has been for the last couple of years bar a few matches when Mourinho first took over. He hasn’t got the skill set to play the way Mourinho wants in this team when there are players like NDombele, Lo Celso, and even Lamela performing better than him in the role he wants to play. I think he was used in such a specific role for Poch, as a floating forward with little responsibility for the build-up, that he hasn't developed that side of his game to allow him to be flexible enough to perform to a high level in a deeper role. So I don't think there is any agenda there, as the squad her got stronger Mourinho has just realised that Dele can't give him what he wants in the side. And the team is stronger without him.

We might all be completely wrong and he's still very much in Jose's plans.

But if not, if he's in the Last Chance Saloon, then really this was his chance to do something. It didn't have to be worldy-level, just show that you've taken on board what your boss has said and at least show that you're trying to do it. More and more I come back to his sub appearance a couple of game ago and the look on his face. I tried not to read anything into it, but I can't now help but feel that his mind is already out the Spurs door and he simply doesn't want to put the effort in.

Ive said it here half a dozen times - he isnt playing in the position he played when he was so successful. he's not going to carry out the spectacular moments we got to see because he doesnt have the freedom on the pitch he had before. His role today was more specific and he did fine - no better or worse than his replacement. he will either improve in the number 10 position or move to another club where he can play as a second forward.
