Didn’t Stoke turn down 20m for him a couple of years ago or was it that’s how much they wanted?

No idea mate. Could be that his contract soon is up and they want to cash in now before he leaves on a free. Amazed that he stayed in the Championship for that long

Seeing David Alaba out of contract at the end of the season...

Think he would be a really really smart buy, especially as José wants players for the here and now....

Another leader, 28 YO, and playing in more of a centre back role now, although he has experience at fullback, wing back, and even centre midfield!

Most importantly is left footed...whether you think it’s a myth or not, left footed centre backs are important (see Moura’s goal vs LASK, which doesn’t happen unless Davies hits that ball in to Vinny)...

Alaba represents an affordable, option with a wealth of experience and trophies...looks set to maybe leave Bayern, I know Liverpool are interested but I think we should be on that deal!

Wants to go to Spain is what I've heard. The question then is of course can either Barca or Real afford his wages as things are now.

No chance in hell. He is refusing to sign a new contract as he wants to earn as much as Lewandowski and Neuer, what he is obviously not worth especially in the Covid environment we are now in. And its more than Kane earns for example.
He wants to play CM and not LB or LWB anymore as far as I understand.

We should stick with realisitc options.

I would be amazed if he doesn't go to City and replace Mendy.

He has played CB for Bayern basically the last two years now. Davies and Hernandez are their LBs.

Does not mean he's not a LB. Just more positions for him to play. Him and Kimmich can play basically anywhere anyway.

It was reported several times over the years that Alaba is not up for playing in certain positions, he has clear preferances now. Of course you can say the coach decides where he plays but I am pretty sure if he is not handed a plan and guarantuees that he plays where he wants to he won't sign for that club.
