Second highest scorers in the PL after Liverpool & Man City who are joint first and still we get moans about our attacking players.
If Destiny doesn't gift that 2nd goal to Toney to give Brentford hope , whole end of the match would have had a different feel to it.
He had a big hand in their first goal as well. I thought Ange might replace him at half time.
Seem to remember us gifting two goals to West Ham after dominating the game. If we can tighten up a bit we can be a lot closer to the top,

No one's moaning at the amount we score, but the amount of chances we should also be creating/taking also. Need to play those quick one twos or release a player quicker more, not just for that 15 minutes
Scoring wise and converting chances we are doing fine compared to previous seasons and that's without Kane and without Eriksen one of the all time top chance creators in the PL

After 22 games
23/24 ..... 47 goals scored
22/23.........41 goals
21/22...........28 goals
20/21 ..........36 goals
19/20 .........36 goals
18/19 ...........46 goals
17/18 ........... 42 goals
16/17 ........... 45 goals
15/16 ............ 38 goals

I accept with the way we set up and play we will concede chances and goals due to the space we leave in behind, I just don't want us gifting goals in the manner we did last night.

Again, we get into the final 3rd a lot more playing this style, so you would expect stats to show this.

My point again is we get get into the final 3rd and then seem to struggle to create a great chance. That's what gets moaned at, not the amount we are scoring (could be a lot more with the potential we have in attacks that we mess up)

The standard of refereeing these days is abysmal. Youy don't get a decision based soley on the laws of the game, you get decsions based on the game situation, context and the mood of the official.

If Richarlisons first half goal is disallowed becuase the slightest touch on the side of defenders knee is considered a foul, there is no way on earth Norgaard assaulting Johnson late on is not a foul. For the sake of fairness, if it is considered that even that contact by Richarlison, however slight, was sufficient to send the player to ground, then fine, it's a foul, but that has to mean that any contact that doesn't get the ball and sends a player to ground is a foul.

If Howard Webb is truly serious about improving things then he needs to get referees to come on tv, show them these situations and make them explain themselves. You'd soon start to get more consistency in their decisions.

Agree. Ditto the consideration of a previous yellow card when deciding to give another one. It makes my blood boil that referees bottle giving another yellow because they dont want to "spoil the game". It should simply be "is it a yellow card offence or not?"

I wish more fans would realise the way we play is here for as long as Ange is. Last night I read "put Dragusin on and play VDV left back, and stop passing it out from the back". I feel like so many people don't pay any attention to the games and the manager, and all know better than him. It's tiring.

Absolutely this.

So many decisions made using preconceived thoughts and not what is actually happening. Some of the fouls given against is were so soft it was laughable, and much worse offences against us not punished.

I called Coote being poor two hours before kick off, looks like the nerdy kid who wasn't allowed to play football so thought of a way to ruin it for others.

There seems to be a trend with referees (maybe since one particular game) to have to views on fouls. Brentford seemed to get a free kick every time the went down, including two dives by Collins and Norgaard, yet we had players being wrestled to the ground and kicked from behind with no action taken.

This brings me back to Norgaard. Early yellow, and kept making fouls, with no warning never mind a second yellow. The foul at the end of the game stopping our counter was probably the clearest foul in the game and not given. It's a shame the referees are not held accountable and have to explain the decision. Only he and Norgaard thought it was a good tackle.

Finally there is a law stating that simulation is a bookable offence. Collins going down like he was poleaxed was the worst bit of acting since Cameron Diaz in Gangs of New York. I hear he was subbed early to be home for his bulk delivery of Vagisil,
Also, Norgaard clearly showed dissent to the ref but the ref did nothing.

Its simply called having an opinion. May differ from yours but thats what forums are for

Always love to hear people's first impressions of the stadium, shame it was against Brentford as they disrupt the flow of the game so much (and the ref allowed them to get away with so many petty little things).

Just hope you were back in your seat in time for the 2nd half as some of the guys in my row missed the first two goals as they were having a HT beer :X3:
I never ever miss a minute of the game.

Absolutely agree that the barge on Johnson was a free kick. Where the ref didn't give it and they counter attacked, had they scored would VAR ha gone back to that incident and overturned the goal and decision?
No one knows not even VAR and it’s completely based on opinions. VAR in its current form is a farce….. it’s one thing one game one thing another game. The Chelsea pen V Liverpool clear example.. its random almost currently.

I’m literally 28hours late. But we saw gio and veliz in gios car on the way to the stadium last night. Asked gio if Maddison was playing. He kind of said he was unsure lol. Seemed a decent guy from a quick window chat.

Whilst I completely agree, the up side is he is available to play Man City in the next game - We won anyway (thank God) , So we will still get the advantage of him playing against City and hopefully they can get a draw (or better)
