Man, don't want to get too excited about this prospect, but he would upgrade our front line massively. It's the type of addition we need, that one attacking player that really scares the opposition with sheer pace and quality with the ball to match.

Have to admit, I thought Neto was 26 or so. Didn't know he was 23.
Easy to forget how young he is. Reality is if he hadn’t gotten injured he probably would already be at City/PSG/RM etc etc. His potential is that high. Even after his injury he’s still the 4th fastest player in the PL this season and his numbers in an incredibly toothless Wolves team shows how good a player he is. That is saying something. Personally I think every big club with money, which granted there aren’t many at this point, will be looking at him come summer because he is a very very good player with elite potential who doesn’t play for an elite club and is also the client of the biggest agent in the world. Assuming he can stay fit that is. That’s the only question mark around him.

Tbh if I’m Liverpool I’m seriously considering him to replace Salah but I guess they will need to sort out their new manager which gives other teams an advantage.

The one thing I will say is, although POK seem to be pretty on point with his info these days, it is very early for these links to materialise. I almost feel like bar maybe Maddison most players we have been linked to over a prolonged period rarely end with us purchasing them. I’m sure at this point he is someone we like and have looked at but might not even be a target come summer. Also @Hercules disagreed with the POK post so maybe he doesn’t think we are interested or it’s just fat fingers.

Personally I think he is exactly what we need from a skill set POV but I think we will be priced out of any potential move.

I may be wrong but Hercules said last week he wasn't keen due to his injury record I think. I may be wrong but I'm pretty confident it was something along those lines so maybe the disagree was relating to injuries etc...

Yeah for sure. I was concerned about his injuries too to be fair, but then you look at the way he's terrorising all the teams he's coming up against now... If he was to suffer another serious/semi-serious injury between now and the end of the season then I think you'd of course reassess still, but if he's able to stay fit and perform as he has done then he'll certainly be in demand.

Thing also with Neto is that he can play really effectively off either wing too and that's gotta be a massive plus for Ange. I think the same can be said for Nico Williams also, but to what degree I'm unsure.

You do think it's something we'd have to conclude pretty sharply as like you say, if Liverpool start getting involved then it's most likely game over really.

Maybe they scanned the wrong knee.
The following is a personal experience with Norwegian doctors and scanning of knees. 🙈😂

At the GP:
- We will scan your knee.
- Should we scan both of them, since they’re both a bit bad?
- We can’t overspend public money, son. We will only scan the one that really hurts.
- The left one.
- Right

At the GP a few weeks later:

- Nothing wrong with your knee.
- But it still hurts like hell?
- Well, the scan of your right knee doesn’t really show anything bad, son.
- My right? It’s the left knee that is bad?!
- Oh … is it? We will scan the left one then.

At the GP yet another few weeks later:

- Well, the scan doesn’t really give a conclusive on one single issue that gives you problems son.
- Oh, really?
- Yes. But at the same time the scan shows that nothing is good in there either!

Swedish football site.
Viktor Djukanovic, Hammarby (another Stockholm team) of interest.

Hammarby has rejected a 10m euro bid from MLS.

Would have to get this one done early if we go for it too many interested parties in Neto which could drive a bidding war and the club don’t entertain that. He’s keen on our project tho the agent might be a bastard to deal with to . Wolves will want north of 60m I love the player but maybe there’s better in the market if we look hard enough . But would be a marquee signing ✍🏿. We have a keen eye on a talent in La liga could be gettable in the summer and we are keeping an eye on him strongly cannot reveal tho yet. Raphina is another we are looking at but right now it’s just an intrest and I don’t think with the fee and age it goes against what we are doing atm .

Ange tho deffo wants a specialist winger who can isolate his defender in attacking transitions and offer abit of stardust comparable with Sonny .

Priority in order for summer right now :

IN
Wing forward
Deep lying midfielder
ST
Gk
LB Cover

OUT
Spence (not favoured)
Forster (need a system keeper)
Sess (not reliable )
Gil (not favoured
Tanguy (not favoured)
Lo celso (contract and injuries)
Pierre (wants to go and contract )
Reg (not favoured)
Rodon (not favoured)
Dier (gone)
Persic (gone)
Werner (if we don’t activate but think we will)
Solomon (might be able to generate funds)

I may have missed 1-2 but that’s how I’m seeing it right now obviously easier said then done but I think that’s the idea .

Must say I'm surprised by this one as he got a new contract 2 months ago and hasn't played a game since August.

If we move on Solomon and Gil would we not potentially need 2 WF? Certainly if we don’t sign Werner who honestly, although he’s cheap, I’m not currently convinced we should.

Ether way I can imagine Neto would be difficult but what a signing it would be. Tbf if the La Liga player is who most assume it would be then he would also be a fantastic addition. Dream scenario would be to get both but obviously won’t happen. I really hope we don’t go for Raphinha tho.

Im also surprised a striker is on the list. I would have thought that Richy, Son, Veliz and Werner (if we keep him) would be able to handle that position.

I can't see that being a factor - unless one of the WFs is very young, and one for the future.

Neither Bryan, nor Solomon, feature right now.

Even if you move Son to the striker position (and keep Werner):

???/Werner Son/Richy Kulusevski/Johnson

Then you still have Veliz coming back.

So, If it is just Bryan and Solomon to leave, I can't see room for two more forwards who would expect to get significant minutes.

And, if Richy shows consistent form for the rest of this season, I don't think there will be a rush to move Sonny.

Must be someone different in La Liga as Nico Williams wouldn't need keeping quiet, his name is out there already as a player of interest.
Sneaky suspicion it's Kubo.

Kubo just signed a new deal in last few weeks so can't see it being him

I think we’ll sign werner as he’s versatile and very cheap (agreed that we shouldn’t) or if we can’t raise funds for solomun we’ll just not move him on if we can stay fit.

Yeah striker surprised me too, if only like us to buy a striker if it’s a big marquee signing or Zhirkee, but I can’t see that unless we shift richie.

Neto though, would be my ideal realistic signing. He’s exactly what we need and if we have champions league and managed to shift a few we can’t spend 150-200m and a 60/70m signing like Neto would move the dial. The other winger from la liga who I’m assuming it is would also be a very good signing.
