I already lost most of my interest when Raikkonen retired, not sure why I still care especially after that season ending in 2021. So many unlikeable people in that sport and so much controversy and cheating. Nowadays I'm mostly interested in seeing how some youngsters develop I guess.
Same here. Can you imagine any of the current drivers telling Martin Brundle on his pitwalk that they missed Schumacher's presentation because they were having a shit? Or retiring at Monaco and heading straight to their yacht to get on the beers with their mates rather than heading back to the pits for a debrief? Legend!

I've got a soft spot for McLaren as I grew up not far from the factory but I can't say I've much interest beyond how they're doing these days.

Not sure why though.

Pretty much everyone outside of Red Bull thought he was a creep. But he built one hell of an F1 team/car.
Maybe it's coming from people around Helmut Marko. He is there at the insistence of the late Dieter Mateschitz but doesn't have an official role in the hierarchy. With Mateschitz now gone, a power struggle may well have broken out behind the scenes...
Just thinking out loud...

I can't be arsed to read it. Anything to suggest they were unsolicited dick pics in the messages?

This suggests the leaks are probably true, but what little I have seen is more embarrassing personally than really damaging professionally.

Inappropriate behavior - sure. Sackable? I have not seen that level.

Just seen a google drive with about 80 screen shots in it.

Looks as if he had an affair, in his position it doesn’t look good. He will have his reasons and excuses, but When you are head of a team you can’t be doing that, you’re in a position of trust.

I can’t see him surviving this to be honest and as much as I’m not a fan of him, he needs to step down for his own sake and his family’s.

The going theory i have seen is...

When Dieter was alive Christian ran the F1 team, Helmut ran the drivers program(s). They collaborated (obviously successfully) for quite a while but with the situation where if they couldn't agree they would bring whatever it was to Dieter who would make the decision.

When Dieter died there seems to have been a sort of agreement that Helmut and Christian would split power but there is question as to what is actually defined. Both would like to assume more of the ownership role with the team and there is a fight happening in the background. Christian has his proponents and so does Helmut. Specifically Helmut is very well liked by both Max and his father.

The Max piece causes another layer to it because Christian believes the team should be seeking a quality second seat at all times (hence the Danny Ric situation, the flirting with Lando etc) where as Helmut believes that the team should leverage the young drivers from the their various programs. Max and his dad supposedly like Helmut's view because it would result in a second seat to Max who is just there to effectively help Max as opposed to a driver who is there to try and challenge Max for wins.

It's all grasping at straws of course. But seems people are making Red Bull sounds a bit like Succession...

Definitely sackable because these are both employees, he is a senior player in the company structure. This is going to tarnish the start of the season regardless of how well Red Bull do and drag their name through the mud.

I can't seem him lasting in his role let alone his marriage. What a s*umbag

I've not read any of it but I am slightly curious - why is this anyone's business outside of him and his family and whoever this third party is? Why do we get dragged down this path of Heat, OK, Grazia and the Daily Heil Online, telling us it's our business when it really, really isn't.

Was he harassing in those messages? Was he sending unsolicited, inappropriate images? Is it just two consenting adults sexting who work for the same company? I honestly don't know and as quick as these questions form - pooof - gone again because it's nothing to do with me and gossip mags aren't really my thing.

We've got the final practice session then qualifying today, lets focus on the racing rather than some dastardly dudes dong.

I think the main problem is having the same organisation investigate and conclude, yep, no problem here at all. Trust me, bro.

That in itself is a problem.

If only we had an independent office that could investigate and accurately conclude if there is a case to answer, wait...isn't that what the police are there for? Admittedly the police aren't perfect and they can take their sweet time
