Son might just be leggy. Not been at it at all so far.

He looked like he was running in treacle just before his winner against Luton. Hopefully it’s fatigue from the International break and not a sign of times to come.

How has not paqueta been booked yet? Could have had several, carrying the ball away after conceding a fk. Not any worse than VDV 's yellow.

That was fine, better showing than recent first halves. Time to come out and put them to bed in the second, they're bully set piece merchants.

First 20 was excellent.

Good movement and energy about us.

That goal is so frustrating because WH live off those situations.

It helps them to raise the tempo and lift the crowd.

Now it's just long ball, ball into the channel, work a cross and apply pressure.

We have done okay with it in general but we have suffered as they have congested the middle and made it hard to play through.

An early goal would be great for us as long as we are super focused at the back

Yeah you don't take son off as he's such a goal threat, but we need Richarlison in the middle today against this lot. His presence in both boxes will benefit us.

When my time finally comes and I move behind the veil and into the beyond, one of my last and largest regrets will be the cumulative hours or even days of my life spent hearing Freed from Desire in the background of sporting events.

Tbh it’s a good yellow to take as Antonio could have out Bowen through.

yeah definitely needed to bend the rules to hold up the play for that reason, and a yellow is better than a goal tbf - just would have preferred if he did it tactfully to avoid the yellow as well as the breakaway goal

Mixed feelings so far. Our intensity was so good the first 15 minutes and we dropped off. I liked the play we had especially on the right side. Son has been off it with his passing unfortunately.

Bentancur, Biss, and Johnson the standouts so far. Agree with others that besides the assist, Werner has been ineffective with a number of misplaced passes.

Would love to see what Richarlison, Lo Celso, and Kulusevski can provide in the 2nd half maybe after 60-65'

Stomach falls out of my arse every time they get a set-piece.

They’re so dangerous from set pieces whereas we look toothless… would be typical though if we win the match with a set piece lol

Need to get the front three more involved and get closer to them.
And if son can't contribute to the build up he needs to come off.

Certainly need to stop giving away needless corners.

West Ham are the new Stoke. Set piece wankers
It's annoying because our set pieces are shit and never amount to anything..

As for the game I genuinely believe speed, quick passing will beat West Ham, let's just hope we can do it.

Lots of possession but not made the keeper work. Just a lack of technical ability in the front 5 to get through the lines quickly.

I think that's a bit of a stretch to be honest.
We controlled the game away from home to a very good West Ham side. We limited their chances and created several decent ones ourselves.

Biss and Madders not having enough influence.

West Ham playing to their strengths, but I’m hopeful our subs will make the difference.
