Good point, yes I wanted more but you don’t realise how much that lot raise their game.

A point away from home is always better than losing and we could have easily lost this. Especially from their set pieces.

Another strange watch.

Very open at the back, still haven’t sorted out winning corners at both ends of the pitch. Someone must have a plan by now to help Vicario, and then we’re not really creating good scoring opportunities.
All of that with a full strength group of starters although I’m not sure I know our best starting XI.

Was a little underwhelmed with Ange.... Still has a lot to learn when it comes to influencing the game with substitutions! Not sure Son should not have played 90mins.... Richy should have been on earlier...

Subs completely killed our momentum. I had wanted Gio to start but I understood why Ange picked Maddison. I wasn’t particularly calling for his sub when he was pulled off but equally considering how well Gio played on sat I wanted to see what he could bring to the table. Bringing on Kulu for Maddison was a very poor move. I get Ange really likes his energy and wants him to be part of his team but this wasn’t the time to try it out considering how off form Kulu has been of late. The subs killed us. Ether keep on Maddison or bring on Gio.

what a shit advert for 'wanting to win'. This draw is all on Ange ...he needs to own up for his shit performance. WH were there for the taking and he refused to gamble for the points - if he brought on deki, PEH, Sarr & GLC at half time, we would have won by at least 2 goals. If Ange thinks he's gonna win the league with these shit tactics he best use the break to brush up on the PL - where even poor teams win games through sheer will of force & by rolling the dice
Genuinely curious as to how bringing on effectively four central players would break a team camped inside 30 yards.

tbf, the only players in our squad that made their debut before Gio were Son, Davies and Skippy. If he's not made that position his yet, he's never going to.

That's mainly because, aside from injuries, we've simply refused to play him.

Under Poch and Jose he was a starter and generally performed very well - enough for us to part with masses of cash to bring him in early.

Then we basically just gave him away for free for two years.

Now we've got a situation where the team is in desperate need of creativity and forward passing, and we have once again seemingly regressed to refusing to use him - despite him having consistently performed well when he's played this season.

It's bizarre and it's clearly not going to work out but it makes no sense. If I were Villa/Newcastle/United I'd be all over getting him in the summer.

Still can’t believe Maddison didn’t get a free kick for getting charged into. Ref literally 3 yards away from it as well. absolutely baffling

Draw was a fair result if we are honest. West Ham defended really well and could easily have scored another. We had our chances but couldn't get over the line.

Maddison’s form is a little concerning. I also thought he played too deep. He was ineffective today

Another strange watch.
A 3/4 of a season through and I still can’t see a clear plan.
Very open at the back, still haven’t sorted out winning corners at both ends of the pitch and not really creating good scoring opportunities.
All of that with a full strength group of starters although I’m not sure I know our best starting XI and their positions.
No plan…. Really?? I think it’s been pretty clear from game one?
