Gil is far too lightweight for the Prem.
Might be a good thing given some of the performances from certain players. Son and midfield players in particular, although would like Son back on the left if Richy is back fit.

He was always a MotD player - his run for us at the start of the season was the best period of form in his career.
It's not that he's no good, he's just no Eriksen.
It’s looking unlikely that 5th spot will get an extra CL place now due to defeats for English clubs in Europe this week. So it’s not manyoo that we need to worry about really. It’s Villa. And our own pathetic form of late.

And even with them I think there's a certain level or type of leadership that we're missing. None of those are going to berate the side on the pitch, show anger to anyone, really help to turn the tide when the chips are down.
When we're playing shit like this, on the pitch it always feels like there's a level of acceptance. Same against Fulham, there was no one to demand higher than what was being played.

Sad truth is that even though we’ve had some good games and more or less kept the pace with the top 4, I haven’t really felt confident going into games ever since the Chelsea collapse. We are so so easy to open up and literally any half decent team will have a litany of chances against us if they decide to play on the counter. To make things worse, we often look toothless going forward.

Our persistence with Mason really grinds my gears. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that he adds anything, and he was bang average when in charge. Retaining out of sentiment (if there's any of that involved) is utterly pathetic.
