I think Ange made some tactical errors today - not having a player who can hold the ball up in the forward line for one - but despite the tactics - the players have let us down today with a lack of energy/effort. We've been beat to most 50-50 balls, and knocked off the ball too easily.

Sad day. But it shows that the Fulham result was more than a blip. We have seen our team countless times this season escape with a result in games when we have not been comfortable. Now though we don’t seem to be up for games. I do think Ange could have freshened things up a few games ago by using the squad better for starting positions. But …

I’m willing to give him time, but what’s your point of view?
We’re getting worse week on week with a full squad for over 2 months. People have a right to voice concerns.
Same glaring issues, nothing done to rectify anything. I’m fed up getting battered every week. Results have masked performances for ages

I mean even then, we can't rely on one player to cover massive amounts of spaces that we really shouldn't be affording the opposition. I really question whether the style is sustainable irrespective of the personal.

A pattern that happened all game and led to at least two of their goals were our midfielders getting pulled forward towards Newcastles defensive line while our wingers, instead of moving the ball forward with a pass or dribble, dribbled backward and lost the ball with acres of space between him and our defenders. By then playing a fast, one-touch pass, Newcastle bypassed our midfield and defence time and time again.
It's happened so many times this season I've lost count. Is it a system thing? Maybe. Can it be remedied by our players being progressive instead of going at it? 100%.
Another cowardly performance from the team costing us not only points but also -4 on GD. Inexcusable.
