Big sides have always got the decisions, but this season it feels particularly shameless. There's blatant inconsistency in the same match, let alone between games.

Above Man United on goal difference now. 10 behind us with six to play.

But they are a semi serious team, unlike Man U.

Still dont think either are relevant bar a spectacular collapse.

If either of those two were in our position, ten points clear, theyd not be giving us a second thought.

We really need to rid this mentality as fans as well.

I agree, and I've been dismissing Man U for ages. And I don't think it will happen but if either of those teams is going to trouble us, it's much more likely to be Newcastle.

Man Utd and Newcastle max pts is 68. Both cannot get that as they play each other. So 8 pts will probably get 5th at least. I think we can do that, probably get 70. Villa seem to be faltering and may concentrate on the Conference.
If Ange keeps saying he’s not bothered about 4th the players might start to agree with him.
now got 2 weeks to stew on that result .
if the game v each other is a draw that makes max of 66.. think we can make that.

Need Arsenal to beat Villa today - how depressing.
I sort of think with our run-in and form that we’re not finishing above Villa whatever happens, and I posted elsewhere a few weeks ago that I can’t get excited about the prospect of a Champions League campaign which we’re not ready for and would really stretch our squad next season (much like it has with Newcastle this season).

So in short, I’m not going to be disappointed if Villa kibosh the Goons’ title challenge today.

Sorry. We cannot think like that. It just isn’t worth the trade off. 50 pieces of silver against Arteta running around like a madman with a cup on his head.
Liverpool out of Europe is no bad thing. Nearly all players back and only lge games left.

Normally I choose our success over Arsenal but right now I could handle us being in the EL a lot easier than I could Arsenal winning the league.
