So Arteta, who has had Rice sitting infront of a back 4 and conceding no goals as a team decides to move Rice to a number 8 box to box position and subsequently concedes 4 goals in 2 games and should have been more.

Masterstroke 😂

Maybe I'm kidding myself but think I'm coming to terms with the europa league. Think we need it in our journey
If we take it seriously I’d be more than happy with EL. Tbh unless we have a huge summer transfer window then we won’t cope well with CL football at all anyway, our squad can barely handle 1 game a week to scrape to 5th/6th never mind CL football as well in an extended tournament format.

Shame I'm not a neutral really. 3 different leaders after the last 3 weekends as late as April is fantastic for the league.

It's just can we attract the same calibre of player. We all know Ange saying it doesn't matter but does he genuinely that?

I've seen them lose two home games this season and both of them the ground's been half empty before the end.

Not my place to tell people paying the ridiculous prices what to do, but fucking hell it's hilarious the difference when they're doing well to when they're not. The most fairweather fans going.
If they had to take some of the pummelling our fanbase has been through they wouldn’t have any fans left, they’d probably have just folded the club after Lasagnagate.

You wouldn’t want to share a foxhole with a gooner would you?

That argument doesn't wash with me. We've been in the CL and bought nobody. We've been out of Europe altogether and bought some very good players. It's only one factor of many that prospective players consider.

Fair play to Villa…. I know the dynamic of a NLD is different, but I couldn’t see us dominating the game in the 2nd half at the Emirates like that.

You’re not at all. A huge realistic chance for a trophy and a competition to build confidence in: get the academy players involved in the squads as well especially the likes of Lankshear and Donley.

Ange wants players who want to be here and not players who want to be here just because we are in the champions league. It will sort out the ones who want to play for the club from those who want to play in a competition.

So whoever we sign whilst not in it will be players Ange trusts.

Kinda agree. I feel like this Postecoglou side is not ready for Champions League football.

Let’s get 2-3 good players in and have zero excuse not to win a pot next season.
