The game is on my daughter's birthday, so I've the perfect excuse to ignore the NLD this year.
The NLD where Danny rose scored that beamer was on my eldests 4th birthday. We did legoland, I made sure we got there early and left early.

Bad parent alert 😆.

My ex stated in my divorce that I loved spurs more than her, which is probably a fair assessment.

I think for most of us our relationship with Spurs is longer than our relationships with our partners. Club support is a lifelong passion for most fans. I love my wife and I imagine we’ll be together for the rest of our lives but she was a relatively latecomer. I’ve followed Spurs since I was about six 😉

With our defence, this could be a 0:5 or 0:6 defeat, have absolutely no confidence in or defence…
Although inevitable, the ratings you got for this comment were a touch unfair I think. During the Newcastle game I started worrying they could pump this side with ease. They made tactical change,.a couple of unfortunate errors by ours and they were off. And there was no response to it.

A week or so later I've mellowed a bit. But I do have concerns about the wider defending picture. Difference is Arsenal will leave space and are unlikely to low block?

Personally, would like to see a CM change in personnel. Sarr and Hojbjerg for me.

New game. Different day and energy. Udogie and potentially porro missing are problematic. Although udogie hasn't been overly great recently.

There will be goals. But I fear a loss. Sadly. Albeit a narrow one.

Nowhere to put this but can I mention that Harry Kane, who helped kick Arsenal out of CL ,actually scored direct from a free kick for Bayern yesterday. I think he was on 50 plus misses with us. Actually got round the wall and in at the near post.

I'm 43 and apart from a few notable exceptions, (which are few and far between) Spurs have always disappointed me.

Where do the people suggesting a Spurs win get their confidence?

Man City 3 Spurs 3
Spurs 2 United 0
United 2 Spurs 2

We've done well enough against the bigger Clubs this season.

I find it a bit cringe how negative so many of the fan base are.

Udogie news is a big blow for our chances in this one, my hope was our extra energy from 2 weeks off up against tired Arsenal legs would maybe swing it our way. If Royal and Davies are playing then it would be best to revert them to classic full back roles rather than inverted.

We are going to need the crowd to be bang on it for this one, needs to be an atmosphere to match the 3-0 NLD CL decider game under Conte.

All of those results above were when we were playing well, we are pretty off form at the moment which is fine it happens to most teams and we are about to play the 3 best teams in the league who are all going all out for the title, we’ve also twice in our last 5 games lost badly 3-0 and 4-0 which until recently we’d not really done so I don’t think it’s ‘cringe’ how ‘negative’ some fans are, a lot of us are just looking at our current form, the form and quality of the teams we have to play and logic suggests it’ll be tough.

Does that mean we will definitely lose all of those games? Absolutely not of course, but right now on recent form the odds don’t look great and added to that Richy is only just back fit, Udogie is out and Porto is a doubt so all in all we need to be realistic.

Let’s see how it goes and hopefully we get a shock draw or win in the NLD but it will be very very tough the way teams are playing right now.

Its hardly a shock if we draw with Arsenal, and their 'form' is hardly on fire...did u see the Wolves game, Villa game and double header against Bayern?

They actually created very little over those 4 games ( a few half chances, here and there)

Against Villa they looked tired and got hit on the break, had 18 shots 4 on target, Bayern are a very good and experienced CL side and both games were very tight in high level cat and mouse matches, against Wolves they just had 24 shots, 9 on target.

In our last game against Newcastle we lost 4-0 had just 11 shots and only 2 on target.

Form suggests we will lose and I’m going and will be ready for disappointment if it comes but hopefully from minute 1 until the final whistle that we get at least a point or we get off to a flying start and sweep them away like we did under Conte a few seasons back.

Anyways we need our form and performances to pick up as I love Ange but even I will admit we’ve been quite poor lately.

I think the issue with the post was the notion of defeat before the ball has been kicked. With Newcastle game agree that once it started we looked lost.
Each game is different so no need to be overly pessimistic!

We desperately need to get three points. I can’t even begin to think what it would be like in the stadium if the league is still on a knife edge during the City game. I’d love to kill Arsenal’s chances off.

We don't need 3 points. We are almost certainly going to finish 5th - and play in Europa League next season - which is a big step up from the European League we played in this season...

I would happily take a draw right now - because that damages Arsenal's season far more than our own.
