Title: City
CL: Villa
Europa: Spurs
Conference: Newcastle

Im most confident on Villa getting 4th. City should do it - but I worry about Arsenal because I’m a pessimist.

I see it as pretty similar. The difference is our pressing isn't as good and we're much easier to play through and counter against.

There was one moment at the end that crystallized it for me - Fulham try to play a ball out to their forward, and Endo is just standing in the right spot and cuts it out. We don't really have a player like that, and when we're attacking everyone is looking to get involved and we have too many bodies forward, and too much space open to play into behind.
Difference is both our full backs invert, theirs both usually go wide and overlap with Trent occasionally tucking in and their CDM tucks back between the 2 CB’s to form a 3 in buildup sometimes, these subtle differences make them more balanced and make us far more open.

If Ange can get it working like it was first 11 games with better signings then fantastic but I think it likely needs tweaking slightly as we see a tad too open and Imbalanced.

G.Nev and Carra spot on, “there are no other options”, clubs need to stop saying “we will consider all options” it sums up social media and modern society.

If there is genuine cause to sue because of obvious cheating etc then maybe but otherwise just bloody suck it up and get on with it, it’s sporting decisions, some go your way some don’t, it is what it is.

Well Porro and Udogie can do both, it's not like they always come inside. I've seen them overlapping as well. But yeah generally that's true.

I just think it's mainly that CDM we're missing, because who in our team has the positional sense and intelligence to sit there in wait and cut out dangerous counters? It's not Bissouma, Sarr, or Bentancur

Also might look on forest more favourable if they also weren’t found guilty of trying the break the rules as well

It’s perfectly normal to play Wednesday and Saturday. Having said that given the FA knew City would be in Europe that week I don’t see why their game wasn’t the Sunday game. It wouldn’t have disadvantaged any of the other SemiFinalists.

You'd just end up in the same situation. The problem is capatlism. Any possible gaps in the schedule and someone somewhere will see an opportunity to fill them and make some money.
Basically these teams are complaining they are successful and by extension making more money than the other teams. Furthermore they want that that football and financial success should be rewarded with extra benefits for them at the expense of the less successful teams m.
You never can be too greedy I guess.

Liverpool showing us how we should’ve played away to Fulham.

I don’t like Klopp and can’t wait until he leaves but I do think his tactical system is really really good, it’s attacking, it’s gegenpressing, it’s dominating the ball, it’s wide attacking fullbacks, it’s fast attacks on transition etc, and it always to me seems pretty balanced.

Id like Ange to tweak how we play just a tad so it can be a bit more like Liverpools system as they’re still very attacking but they have a bit more balance about them.
True but Klopp didn't get that balance until the season they pushed City and then he still had to make a little tweak.

Ange will surely make tweaks but we need to be patient with him. I know you will be mate and are just saying.

The Eze-Olise Show at Selhurst Park today. Whoever was in charge of recruiting at the time who decided not to take the plunge for them should be ashamed of themselves. I know people say they wouldn’t have got game time with us but if we’d had people with brains they would have bought them and loaned them out to team just like Palace. Such a wasted opportunity.

The Bournemouth defender, kubinsky(?) has been run ragged by Watkins every time Villa have got the ball forward.

I know what you mean but it does get a little silly with the scheduling around this time of year. I know many won’t feel sorry for City but it is crazy how many big games are played in such a short space of time.
Part of the problem is the CL. In the early stages there’s 2 weeks between games. They also don’t allow domestic leagues to play games on the same day as CL games. They also could start the knockout rounds earlier. EUFA make it hard for the clubs not the domestic leagues. If Pep and Klopp etc want to complain about the scheduling it’s EUFA they should be aiming their ire at not the FA/PL.

Nobody can expect perfection. Such a thing and human beings are mutually exclusive. VAR should at least guarantee consistency though. It seems to be baking in ever more inconsistency and even legitimising it at this point.
Mainly because they are not making purely objective decisions but are instead trying their best not to make the on field referee look bad. I don’t know why, if they have a doubt about his decision m, they can’t get him to have a look at it at the on field monitor but only at normal speed. Slow motion makes incidents completely different and that’s not how a human being sees things.

Eze in particular. We were linked heavily whilst he was at QPR so obviousky had him on our list and watched him plenty.

From memory we were heavily linked before he joined Palace (from QPR). There was talk on here that Mourinho opted against him.
