I used to love Trips but something has changed for him, he's no longer the hard-working and grafting right back I once loved, he's gone a little arrogant, blaming others, pointing fingers... what next a hair deal with Brylcream.
He's gaining valuable experience at the moment, he wasn't as bad as some of our more senior players today in the same position, albeit Dier and Wanyama just back from injury they were awful at times.
Skipp is making mistakes by losing possession but he's busting a gut trying to get the ball back...
Hang on didn't Kane try to play a blind pass back to Winks which had too much on it when he was in a better position to take the ball into the corner.
Kane should have held it and took it into the corner.
Just before that Alli lost it twice around the centre circle and we got lucky on those...
We controlled the game but it was slow, Wembley is an exhibition centre, atmosphere dies quickly.
At the end we had chance to keep ball and lost it a few times, which gave Burnley chances to break quick and the fullbacks still high at that point of the game with the full backs who were then...
I think Tim has picked that side and formation to simplify things, leaving new faces out where possible to take the heat off them. I wouldn't be convinced he'll change much in personnel or formation for a few weeks either. It hasn't worked for AVB so I think he'll tweak it accordingly. No way is...
Dembele has to start in the middle.
We are nothing without pace going forward.
Gallas needs to retire.
Defoe is poo.
Livermore is not good enough.
Walker needs to get back quicker when going forward.
Holtby is off the pace and can see now why he isn't starting.
We won :)
His contribution on the field for goals & assists have been great. He does slow us down sometimes & he might have flaws in his game but whilst he's in a Spurs shirt il support him fully whether he stays for 1 season or many many more.
No but remarkably have a reduced training regime & play the occasional football game in England and still do so very well when called upon. In the last 5 yrs one of these retired for half a season & Beckham was loaned to AC Milan in the MLS off season.
Anyway.... The MLS is a poor league...
You pick your players to win the individual battles. AVB has done it well using Daws against physical strikers & gallas against quicker players, not because he is quick but he reads the game well (or he used too). Effective management.
