    The Transfer Wishlist Thread

To be fair, whilst i don't think it's the right priority, it's relatively low risk for Maja at this stage - he can always move again in a couple of years and likely (given Sunderland's situation) make a forward step in terms of the club and his career. So choosing money for a couple of years of...

Player Watch Player Watch - Japhet Tanganga

Interview obviously done pre-lockdown but a nice overview of his debut and positive words from him in general:

And to reiterate the point - Arnesen didn't really make as big an impact at Chelsea because the objectives were different. I agree though - it all soured a bit in the end but we seemed to have a clear strategy (perhaps as a club or due to Arnesen himself) in our transfers during his initial...

    Sporting Director

Very well put. The objectives change from club to club as well. What may have suited recruitment for a smaller Lique 1 club could be very different to one in the Bundesliga or the PL. As you've said, the only real certainty you need to focus on is ensuring the manager and the director are both...

    The Transfer Wishlist Thread

Can't say i'm keen. We need reinforcements at CB but surely there are prospects out there who have a higher ceiling and would be reasonable wages etc. We may well need a competent squad player and he might be a viable option for that but (hopefully) if there are plans for players at CB, we must...

The Daily ITK Discussion Thread - Groundhog Day you say? Groundhog Day you say?

Agree, there is hope in the fact he is Spurs. Here's hoping for one more season to see what we can do/are willing to do. For me a lot's being made of his injuries. Yes he's had a bad couple of years but he's played a lot of games for us and England. A top (and i mean top) team with options...

    Manager watch: Jose Mourinho

I'm not a fan of the tactic but i'm not so sure it isn't the right approach. We have players for better or worse, openly or behind closed doors, who 100% need to react and step up. How JM gets that from them is down to him and whilst i prefer the behind closed doors approach maybe these players...

No idea why not. Surely time to throw something at the game.

No disagreeing but I’d take him in an instant.

These errors are ridiculous, some players out there just have too many in them. You can’t blame tactics for mistakes and poor decision making.

It’s tough viewing isn’t it? We have a long way to go to putting this right.

    The Transfer Wishlist Thread

I'm not entirely in this boat but i think a) we have to consider that i don't think we're quite up to the top 4 this year and b) whether we want to play/prioritise a run in the Europa over perhaps some of the rebuild needed. You're right in that it would clear down the fixture list and...

    The Transfer Wishlist Thread

Had me on the first part, not so sure on the latter part of the post. I know we have some snobs in the fan base who feel relegation recruits aren’t up to our standards but Norwich have some great young talent. Definitely worth a look, they have 4/5 young players likely to move when they drop.

    General/Non-Spurs Transfers

Smoke meet fire. Just in case anyone wondered why his contract was mutually terminated. I guess it could have been the fact he was permanently injured as well.

    Player Watch Player Watch...Dele Alli

I agree with this but ultimately i question his ability to do this effectively. This sort of positional play should absolutely be in his wheelhouse. The question is - what is he lacking? His timing and movement i'd rate as decent. Close control, equally good. Is it his awareness/ability to...

    Boxing thread?

I think respective teams do too much to try and protect that undefeated status - to an extent i buy it but ultimately if you're not putting that on the line against the best then it's just for show. We've watched the heavyweight division get hyped for ages with all the best fighters dodging each...

A one-goal deficit is nothing. There's more than just a chance we can overturn that. All to play for still.

Match Threads Spurs vs RB Leipzig 1st leg - Match Thread

I share your sentiments. Passive is a good word to describe it. We weren't firing from the off, lacked a bit of aggression and really allowed RBL to take control of the game. Whilst some of this comes down to having more of a forward threat (outlets/forces oppo to stay back more) a lot of it...
