With new rumours that Poch would love to return to Spurs given the chance who would we rather have in charge ? Well, in charge of the team anyway...
‘I know there was a similar thread in November but now we have seen Conte for a few months and now apparently Poch wants to come home ( BBC talk...
Assuming none of our injured players are back :
Lloris
Sanchez Alderweireld Vertonghen
Trippier Wanyama Eriksen Dele Rose
Llorente Moura
If Sissoko is fit
Lloris
Trippier Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose
Sissoko Wanyama
Moura Dele Eriksen
Llorente
Just edited this after watching press conf...
Will Dele and Winks be fit ? With his hand injury I would think Dele should play in a more advanced role
If both are fit :
Lloris
Trippier Toby Jan Rose
Winks Sissoko Eriksen
Lucas Son Dele
If Dele is not able to start :
Lloris
Trippier Toby Jan Rose
Wanyama Sissoko Winks
Lucas Son...
Maybe this has been asked before, but 15 games, no draws. Add that to the last 4 games of last season and that makes 19.
Does anyone know the last time we exceeded that number with no draw ?
When Dier plays in midfield like today everyone says he is either crap or not a midfielder. When he doesn’t play, like against Watford, it then becomes a stupid decision to leave him out.
I know there’s already a Dier thread so if the author wants to add this poll then great . But I will Post...
Just looking at which of our players are likely to be most burnt out at the start of next season. Of course all the top EPL teams face similar issues though Chelsea , Liverpool and Arsenal have I believe less players affected.
Eriksen - I think he looked pretty jaded in all the games so maybe...
Plenty of time to think about this and I suspect Poch won’t change much .
Kane has to be benched. Has contributed nothing in last 4 games. Dembele needs a rest , though maybe 9 days is enough . Also I don’t want to see Dier and Wanyama together, or even worse Sissoko and anyone else. I think...
I know we have Brighton first but to an extent our selection v Brighton should be influenced by our likely team v City.
Lloris
Trippier Dier Vertonghen Rose
Dembele Winks
Eriksen Lamela Son
Kane
According to newnow / transfer web we could be in for the young PSG midfielder. At 20 years old and a reported 20m fee he ticks boxes but whether there's anything in it, who knows ?
Which players have achieved that status ?
Alfie Conn ( saved us from relegation almost single handed after Neill left him out almost the whole season . Sat on the ball in our last must win game against Leeds )
Nayim ( for what he did after he left us with that goal and that song )
Knowles...
These are the matches we have lost this season
Man U - Dier and Dembele played but in a different formation with Dier and Bentaleb at DM and Dembele advanced.
Newcastle - no Dembele
Leicester - Dembele on the bench
West Ham - No Dembele
Southampton -No Dembele
Not sure whether this...
Realistically there is not a club on the planet that will pay his wages. He has said he would only leave for clubs like Real Madrid who wouldn't want him anyway . Views on the options
For me, only Eriksen has been a major success. Chadli was looking that way too until his bereavement. Hopefully he will soon be back to his best.
The others :
Chiriches, flop , was ok as cover for Walker but now we have Yeidlin. A disaster at CD.
Paulinho , flop, totally hopeless as a...
4 big matches in 10 days that will go a long way to defining our season. How can / should we use our squad ?
First, it would be great to bring in 2 or 3 players this week though I appreciate we will be lucky to get even one. Our 3 key players for who significantly weaken our team are...
