Speaking of luck and fine margins, Opta also did a table in the off-season on how the table would have looked like if all shots that hit the woodwork were counted as goals last season. Us and Liverpool (surprisingly) would have turned out 3rd and 4th respectively in such a table.
I know Dempsey's not everyone's cup of tea but as the team's 3rd highest scoring player this season, shouldn't he at least be on the shortlist? He did come up with a few key goals against the Manchester clubs too...
We're unbeaten whenever Aaron Lennon scores - 25 wins, 3 draws, 0 losses in all competitions. For list of games (prior to today's NLD), see http://hotspurhq.com/2012/10/10/aaron-lennons-scoring-record-with-tottenham/
Only matches among teams tied on points first considered, before all matches are taken into account.
2-2 or other higher scoring draws and irregardless of Italy result... Spain 1st, Croatia 2nd
1-1 and Italy win by 1 goal... Spain 1st, Croatia 2nd
1-1 and Italy win by 2-0... Spain 1st, Croatia...

Hope Everton wins tonight. The Spammers play Pool 2 games from now and we need them fighting tooth and nail for points during the Pool game. Too bad Parker's suspended for that game after getting a yellow card this game...
No if u get 2 yellow cards in 1 game, it gets converted to a red card.
If u get 1 yellow card and a straight red not due to accumulating 2 yellow cards, then it is counted separately as 1 yellow and 1 red (this is quite rare though)
Hmm I was thinking if we play Palacios against Sunderland, and he picks up a booking in the match, that means he will miss 2 games - the FA Cup semi-final and the derby against the Scums. While we could do without him for the semi, we definitely need him for the derby.
So it might...
Not really, if we end up level on points with say Liverpool, that means they would have made up the 7 pt deficit, e.g. 3 losses for us and 2 wins + 1 draw for Pool. If we lose by 2 goals each and Pool wins by 2 goals each, there goes our goal difference advantage.
Yes it does.

Scottish Cup semis on 10 Apr: Celtic vs Ross County
If Celtic win, they play in the final on 15 May. Don't understand why there's a 1 month break after the last round of league games in mid Apr (13 Apr for Celtic).
In terms of the latest save % for EPL games this season, Gomes (80.3%) ranks 2nd in the league amongst all the regular keepers, only behind Friedel (80.9%). They're just about the only 2 keepers that made it past the 80% mark.
Oh yeah, you're right. Managed to find this from http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/RulesandRegulations/~/media/Files/PDF/TheFA/FA%20Handbook%2009%2010/Disciplinary_Procedures_pg%20305-401.ashx/Disciplinary_Procedures_pg%20305-401.pdf
Hudd, Palacios and Jenas are on 4 bookings each. If they get yellow-carded against Peterborough, they would miss the Liverpool game. Having said this, I would rest our first choice pairing Hudd and Palacios, and play Jenas and Kranjcar/Bentley in the middle.
