    I really like Simakan. I think it would be a good move, on the condition that it doesn't impact pursuits of more urgent needs such as wingers, striker, DM. With CL looking fairly likely, and even the EL I suspect Ange would take seriously anyway, we need more first XI standard players to chop...

    Dier a better/more modern 'footballer' but Dawson was very good at the physical side of the game which was still prominent 10-15 years ago. I'll say Dier but not much in it

    Hopefully Ange watched the City & Pool games over the past couple of days, they both showed some good pointers on how to break down the low block. Intensity, shots from range, quick balls out wide, numbers of runners into the box etc.
