I know this might be shut down but I've always thought that a good Son chant would be "Son, Son will tear you apart again" to the tune of Love Will Tear Us Apart Again by Joy Division.
I do love the Son chant though!
I was planning on watching the game at one of the pubs in Wembley.
I've read online that the allocated pubs for Spurs on our side of the stadium are Blue Check Cafe, Crystal Nightclub, First Class Sports Bar, Flyers Last Stand, St Josephs School Club, The Crock of Gold, The Parish, The Torch...
Just read this in one of the Aston Villa forums...
"Not sure I can even be bothered to watch the Mike Dean show. 90 minutes of his gurning face as he flashes the cards at Villa players and, again, celebrating as Tottenham score will put me off my dinner."
It did make me chuckle.
Great work on providing those diagrams! It would be interesting to see a similar comparison with the Etihad Stadium just as another indicator of how our stadium will look in terms of proximity to the pitch.
Eric Dier but in all honesty it was a VERY close call between him and about 5 others. Crazy to think when you think of the situation we found ourselves in 2 years ago.
The next two games are crucial in my opinion. Win them both and we'll be in a very healthy position but if we drop points, it sets up a very tricky, and potentially nervy, April.
Lloris
Walker, Toby, Wimmer, Rose,
Dier, Dembele
Lamela, Alli, Eriksen
Kane
Dembele being back would be huge for us... a fresh Dembele too after a couple of weeks out.
A perfect opportunity for the likes of Trippier, Mason, Bentaleb, Wimmer, Chadli to gain extra minutes... whether that's playing the full 90 or just a portion of the game.
I think Redknapp's team from the 11/12 season was stronger and I would've fancied that team to edge the current Spurs team. We're definitely going in the right direction with Pochettino, however.
I'm sure I read somewhere (might have been ITK) that one of the major factors in Alli joining us was because he would in around the first team squad. I do agree with you however, a year in the Championship would have been a natural progression for him.
Buying solidity in the midfield to protect the back four and buying some pace in the final third is a must on top of clearing out some of the deadwood.
