He's always had a tremendous attitude. Sam was one of the last in his group to get a scholarship, despite being U16 captain. He was well below the standard of his peers technically and athletically but he was so smart, such a good leader and had such a great work ethic that they squeezed him in...
Reo Griffiths update: He made one appearance for Wealdstone in the FA Trophy before being allowed to leave on a free for Portland Timbers reserve team.
Have you heard anything about Herbie James? Apparently he's removed all Spurs related links and graphics from his social media accounts. It wouldn't come as a total surprise. He's featured, what? Once for us this season. I wonder what the issue has been.
edit: Just checked. He signed a pro deal...
I'm so pleased for Dane. He's had it tough. People have gone cold on him because of a couple of poor loans but that doesn't change the fact that he's a really talented young player. He just needs to catch a break.
No, @purplemonkey got it. Bobby Duncan.
Paternoster had a short spell at Fulham after leaving us, then got a scholarship at Shrewsbury and as far as I can tell has been on the books of Hemel Hempstead since Christmas time.
Slightly off-topic but does anyone remember the lad at Liverpool who demanded to leave a couple of seasons ago? I can't for the life of me remember his name.
I think for Kirby it was more about the fact the Chelski had tapped him up and offered him and his family an absolute ton of cash. When we explained to Chelski that we were going to report them they dropped their interest in Kirby sharpish. He wasn't leaving us for Chelski for better training...
I don't know if Bromfield has definitely gone. Has that been confirmed?
The ones that I think that are definitely going to be offered deals are Goalkeepers Blake Irow and Dylan Thompson, Defenders Malachi Hardy, and Elijah Upson, midfielder Tye Hall, Attacking midfielders Luca Williams-Barnett...
He didn't progress. He's a fantastically talented ball juggler and soccer skills type but his overall game has never been great. Looking amazing when you're on your own is one thing but doing it in a match situation is another.
Expect all three to get deals. Bloedorn has been really good since breaking into the side. Morgan has made good progress and deserves another year or two. Wilhoft-King has had a lot of injuries, I think he'll get a third year scholarship.
I'm astonished that Maguire continues to start over Gunter. Maguire has never impressed me. Gunter is a very talented young goalkeeper with huge potential.
The type of football you're playing matters a lot though. Given a less demanding role in midfield and Skipp could be excellent but Ange demands a ridiculous amount from his no.4's and we've seen that Skippy just can't do it. He likes to keep it nice and simple and he likes to offload the ball as...
The problem for Tyrese, as Ali Gold pointed out in his latest vlog, is that not only has he got the returning Devine, the arriving Bergvall and Jamie Donley playing the same role as him but we'll more than likely bring in at least one more no.8 in the summer. So Tyrese will be competing for one...
