Aurier has looked solid in all games he has played so far this season.
And even if it was only 1 that is still 1 more than Doherty.
Not that Doherty has been very poor - so that isn't meant as %%"% on Doherty. Right now Aurier looks like the better player. That can change as the season goes along.
I would like to see Lo Celso and Ndombele as 8s rather than Lo Celso as a 6s and Ndombele as a kind of 10.
And I think Mourinho has to take a decision with our CDs soon. I don't mind rotating, but at the same time I think we need to decide on at least one of them that he is playing the big...
Yeah. That cross was great.
I really like him as a back-up/rotational player. Versatile. Professional. And in periods a very decent player.
Obviously he could be a regular starter for many PL clubs, but he shouldn't be for us - and now he isn't. If he is happy playing the role he will now get...
Son is back soon and Benfica just got their cash. Do they need more? I don't know.
Funny thing is whoever we bring in might not even make the bench come post international break.
Not saying we don't need a forward, but it is a long term thing and not a short term issue (the short term issue...
I have no doubt they will play together soon. As others have mentioned they have both struggled a bit to get back to match fitness. Ndombele seems to basically be there by now while Lo Celso will be soon.
Lo Celso has probably played his best football for us in a deeper role. Personally I hope...
I kind of get the same impression, but I am also desperately aware how little I would know about it based on press conferences etc.
I do believe it is fair to say he didn't become as good as he did based on thinking it was easy.
I don't think Lo Celso played it safe - he just miss placed close to all of his more adventurous tries.
I don't mind. He is on the pitch to try those kind of passes. All players got off days - especially this early in the season.
It was laughable - what the "#"&%% was Doherty doing?
As for Lo Celso - all players got poor games. Anyone see him as a DM for PSG might think twice about that being his best position.
Personally I don't think we got any player especially suited for an old school AM role. A bit odd that we are...
But surely no-one believes that there is just carrots? I don't mind the arm around at all. I would argue it works a lot better than being "tough" on someone in general, but it's not like Mourinho is throwing Alli under the bus here. He still is very clear about liking Alli, but he has given him...
Good point. Those will often get sore.
I don't see how Ndombele is starting. Why risk it? It would be a disaster if he broke down again.
If Højbjerg is out I would expect Winks and Sissoko in midfield. Huge game for Winks who has been very disappointing so far.
Interesting to see when...
