As we probably should be with anyone in the squad. One of the major benefits of recruitment in this window is if there is a silly money bid for say Romero, we have proper cover for a sale we don't particularly want to sell (and more confidence that there is a plan to deal with it).
There's a lack of institutional knowledge amongst footballers as its a new thing - those in Oil and gas have this kind of knowledge handed down from those that have done it before.
If you have that knowledge, you can make a much more informed decision about how it might impact you / your family...
Works both ways though doesn't it. If Ten Hag said something like "he wasn't in the squad but I know he wants to work hard to change that." There isn't any problem?
Although you get a good deal of leeway as a non native speaker in my book, as a professional journalist who writes in the English language, his communication skills are shocking.
It's notable that his articles in the guardian are almost always "with" someone else - like someone else has to...
No, nor do I think that a player on a contract is going to willingly abandon that contract because its convenient for THFC. The headlines on any deal doubtless cover a multitude of other agreements.
Absolutely - SC has spent all week going "FFS Levy just accept anything to get bodies out the door" only to turn its nose up when they see what actually is on offer.
It seems like a decent solution for everyone from my perspective.
I wouldn't be too devastated with our best 4 CBs being:
VDV
Romero
Sanchez
A.N.Other
That may be rose tinted spectacles with Sanchez's last few performances but I'd actually be all up for a redemption arc for him.
I think the whole team was a bit too full of adrenaline at the beginning, emphasised by Romero sticking the nut on Mbuemo very early on.
They did calm down quite quickly though and the goal helped.
Bissouma was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch.
Don't really get the concerns...
It seemed to me that as a part of the loan, he agreed the terms of a deal if Spurs and Barca agreed a price after the loan.
Spurs seemed to have decided they didn't want to pursue it, but Barca clearly want rid and the player would have been keen on a move. Seems to have been our decision...
Yep "journalism" in the loosest sense of the word. Its designed to entertain those it's aimed at and enrage those on the outside.
It's bottom feeding shite. Best ignored. Not worth anyone's time.
I was watching with no sound on, and genuinely wondered whether they'd given the Ukrainian ambassador a game or something weird like that.
Turns out Pyatov is younger than me...
