Amazing, still fantastic... Gazza was my hero, and that game is still one of my all time favourites. 28yrs? Bloody hell, I have wasted a lot of hrs in that time!

I'm 40 now, I can actually remember where I was on that day at the time the game was getting played. I was playing for my local boys club, my dad was giving me updates by nipping back to the car to tune into the radio for updates. Days before modern technology

I was there. Our boss at the time was a member of the FA and got me 2 tickets - seated and surrounded by forest fans. The last time I saw spurs in the flesh. Happy days.

Literally my earliest memory of watching football. Little did I know, it was all downhill from there!

Missed that goal because I was setting an old portable up on the counter of my old man's pub. Took ages to get a picture! Lol

Gazza and Lineker were truly world class. The rest were below average.
Only Kane today (when fully fit) can be thought to be in the same class as them, and while we'd easily beat that team in any league game, I wouldn't fancy meeting them in a cup game.

Gazza was fantastic through the whole cup run - at Portsmouth we were beaten losing 1-0 on a dodgy pitch home crowd baying, us playing poorly - Gazza turned it around scored both goals in a 2-1 he had already raised the team against Notts County where we were heading to a replay he scored a cracker

The semi final was a great day as ever finiished in Sams down the high road to the sound of Rock the Casbah 'fuck the Arsenal '

I know exactly where and what I was doing at the exact time Gazza scored that, unfortunately I missed it in real time:( even though I was smiling at the same time. when I got in front of the TV Lineker scored I punched the air shouting 1-0 which pissed the ex-wife off to seconds later seeing it was 2-0:sneaky:
