On loan at Toulouse, Adrien Rabiot (18), the midfielder of Paris Saint-Germain, was particularly noticed by Tottenham, where Younes Kaboul and where Etienne Capoue play. According to an English source, Spurs are looking to enable the track leading to the young player's international French Hopes. He is under contract until June 2015 and appeared four times in the league this season (56 minutes played and recorded goal). Laurent Blanc, the successor to Carlo Ancelotti on the bench Club Capital, appreciates the player, but the number 25 is currently helmed by Thiago Motta, Blaise Matuidi and Marco Verratti.

At this time, the champions title in France opt for a midfielder with three players but this is still not enough room for the native of Saint-Maurice, who is having trouble patiently waiting to get his chance. Tottenham, in addition to some French clubs all have an eye on the issue.

The 18-year-old has impressed clubs around Europe with his mature performances for PSG this season but is reportedly unhappy with his playing time behind a number of high-profile signings at the French club.

Indeed, the youngster has so far refused to extend his contract at the Parc des Princes and his current deal only runs until June 2015.

While it is unlikely that Rabiot will look to move in January, reports in France suggest that a summer move could be on the cards with many clubs already trying to lay the groundwork for a deal at the end of the season.

And according to Le10Sport Chelsea have joined the list of clubs that would like to persuade Rabiot that his future lies away from the Paris.

Only last month Rabiot suggested that he may have to follow the example of another PSG product Mamadou Sakho - who left the French capital for Liverpool in the summer - to further his career.

He said: "I know it is important to the leaders and supporters [that I am homegrown]. But that's not enough.

"If I am to be set aside on the day where others players are recruited in my position, it is not worth it.

"I do not want to live the way Mamadou Sakho did.

"After a while, when he realised he would not play much, he took the decision to leave and he did well.

"If a new midfielder is recruited in the winter transfer window, it will change the game for me.

"I would then think about my future."

He has been getting plenty of playing time recently, often starting too....so why would he join Spurs when PSG want to keep him and most probaly offer him the double of what Spurs can?

An obvious target if we want a Schneiderlin type player and one with the potential to be better, just lacks that degree of experience particularly PL wise

Would love him, always looked convincing when ever I saw him for PSG, obviously still a little rough around the edges but an undeniable talent.

saw him play for France in a youth tournament in the summer. He was easily the best player and it looked a bit of the case of men versus boys.

He has only 1 year left on his contract, and PSG want 10-12 mil, that's too much imo.
He has an ego too, he wants out of Paris because they wouldn't give him the same wages as Digne ...

Actually I think that's a pretty good price allowing the quality he has and though I like Digne, Rabiot played more games last season, so he has a point

I'd love us to sign him, but I really doubt he'd come to us (if our interest is actually real).

That's a good price for a PL club maybe, that's probably why we're linked with him.
Digne started more games than Rabiot, and he's a french international, he was at the WC.

Backup to MS if it falls through perhaps.

Him and Bentaleb would be v.good in the future, but don't see it happening, we're overstocked already and he'll want regular football.

Yeah but Digne started 15 games no subs and Rabiot started 12 and played 13 sub it's not as if Digne has even started that many more games and the competition at PSG in midfield is fiercer imo. Maxwell has put in better performances after a comparatively disappointing spell at Barca, but isn't exactly a world class LB. I also think the dearth of good left backs makes it easier for Digne to get into the French team and of course Rabiot is still only 19 and France have some strong competition for midfield places
