Would gladly miss out on Rabiot by going to Barca if it meant they wouldn't have interest in Eriksen.

Doesn't really matter until we sell some foreign players first, if we do sign anyone it will be after GKN, Dembele or Llorente/Janssen get sold

I imagine at this stage we could just deregister GKN. It seems he's going to be literally never used no matter how bad the fatigue and injury crisis anyway.

JJ already dismissed this.
He deleted the tweet if that means anything.

Parisunited who is God tier for PSG news said just last week it was still up to the player to decide and that we were offering the same sign on fee as Barcelona even on top of paying a transfer fee to PSG. PSG is going to try to push him to us and Barca might not be interested in the move as much as Rabiot wishes.

If it's true that Rabiot has decided to run his contract down until the summer, I'd say it's nearly certain he'll be joining Barca (btw @dtxspurs I checked JJ's twitter and he still has the tweet up about Rabiot going to Barca, it's a reply to another tweet so may not be in his main feed). Our only hope of getting him would be for us to pay PSG a fee in January before bigger, richer clubs snap him up for free in the summer, so if he's adamant that he's going to run his contract down we don't have a chance IMO.

Honestly I'm not overly fussed about that. With Barca's squad as it stands I can't possibly see them going for both Rabiot and Eriksen in the summer, so you'd have to think that Rabiot making his mind up to join them would bolster our chances of holding onto Eriksen.

You're right, I was wrong as he had deleted the tweet mentioned in the ITK portion but there is still info about him and Barcelona on there.

I guess we'll see if he's willing to sit out for the rest of the season. I'd be shocked if we could get a midfielder as talented as him. Thats the real reason I'd be in on him. And hoping bringing in a player of Rabiot's stature would show some ambition to a couple of players who have yet to sign contract extensions... As has been mentioned by Trix a time or two.

Report from LE10Sport that we were his most "determined suitors" and he's since told us he isn't interested in joining us.

My guess would be wages, as that's why he won't sign a contract at PSG and we cannot compete with city, juve, Barca etc. when it comes to wages.

Yeah, just linked that story. Will be interesting if PSG are really going to drop him for the rest of his time there.

He's basically your prototypical box to box player. Good enough in defense to hold his own and his strength is in transitioning the ball from defense to attack. He's got more ability in the final third than Winks & Dembele. He's a really good passer and can dribble equally as well.

Have to say on pure footballing ability alone theres not many midfielder I would want ahead of this guy, he has everything you would want for a Poch player. His attitude and his entourage (mummy) make me concerned he would be a negative in what is an extremely united squad.

I personally think that would be good for him. I think there's a toxic culture in PSGs locker room where players have more power than the management.

Its not just PSG though - he is also persona non-grata with Didier Deschamps and the French National Team.
