Tbf 'actively seeking' doesn't mean much because we actively sought players in the summer but at least Poch knows we have a problem.
Yeah. At least it sort of puts to bed the idea that we wont try to do something this winter. I'd be shocked if we didn't pick up at least two players. We need fresh legs.

I think Poch more then any one of us knows how badly we need a CM, in fact, I think we also need a DM. At this point it looks like both Dembele and Vic are done. I just don't see us paying the money required for a Ndombele even if we could persuade Lyon to sell in Jan.

Would love him except for his attitude and his mother. I think he might disturb the teams cohesion. Some stories indicate he can be a right Prima Donna.

Can see Rabiot going to Spain and N'Dombele going to PSG to fill the gap tbh.

I know the ITK said he's not coming to England, but tier 1 for Ajax are now saying De Jong is going to PSG. Highly increased the chances of Rabiot leaving doesn't it?

I would imagine unless something crazy happens Rabiot already knows where he is going as he's likely at this point already had plenty of ear whisperers telling him if he runs his contract down they'll spend a portion that they would have on buying him towards his salary.

I wager next summer (doubtful it plays out in January fully) you see a mini transfer war between PSG, City, Barca (and maybe even Real) over De Jong, one of Ndombele or Aouar, and Rabiot. Rabiot being the only one of the bunch we could probably afford because of his contract situation (doubt we get him though). I honestly believe the time to get De Jong or Ndombele was last summer and we'll have to shop in a completely different market.

Terrible attitude toward the french national team. Nobody informed who wants Rabiot can have any respect for Pochs project

It’s 99% confirmed that Rabiot is leaving. He’s out of contract at the end of the season & won’t sign a new deal. I’d imagine PSG want shot now to get some cash in to bring down their FFP deficit.

Barcelona are favourites according to a number of media outlets

Barcelona not happy with the biggest wage bill in the world. Want to top themselves. Silly ****s.

The idea would be that a strong manager and a situation where the manager has complete control, maybe able to better get a hold on Rabiot. It's like everyone thought Andres Gomes couldn't even kick a ball, now he's showing his class for Everton in a better situation for himself.

But none the less it all seems to be irrelevant.

Rabiot is likely to go to Barca, yeah. Also, Dutch media are reporting that PSG are set to sign De Jong for 75m euros in the summer, so that would them rule out of Ndombele, i'd imagine.

De Jong going to P$G in a record deal 66m£ according to Telegraaf. City had to back out because of Football Leaks and FPP, so PSG matched the bid in a second.
