Apparently Dalot has been told he's been made available for transfer, surely Jose would be more interested in him having brought him to Utd. Always thought he was a decent enough RB being honest.

Well Jose liked him a lot at one point. Solskjær har clearly never seen the same potential.

But Maitland-Niles isn't a right back, he's a midfielder converted out of desperation. I hope that if these rumours are true that Jose doesn't see him as a right back and more a homegrown Sissoko replacement.

I've seen loads of United fans thinking it'd be a mistake to let him go but I think they've got another kid coming through there called Laird.

I cant see Levy doing any deals with Arsenal or Chelsea...ever

Fact that the DM article is from David Kent (fake journo of mail) and not from one of the many Arsenal or Spurs oriented journos , I suspect there is underhand agent shit being pulled here. If ITK is true there is some interest but with some caveats, I suspect Levy is fucking around with his agent on Arsenal.

Maitland-Niles new agent is Aidy Ward...who is also the agent of Leon Bailey ?
Are you really sure? Hand on heart, are you telling us you honestly know what is going on? Actually I retract that, you suspect? Come on please. If maybe we eventually sign him, will your tone change somewhat?

I promise I’m not trying to be antagonistic here, it’s just this type of response. It could have been others. I can say I don’t know, as you probably don’t.

Dalot is a baller. He can play RB and LB. He said in his signing interview with United that Jose was a big reason he came to United from Porto.

Dalot > AMN.

Old news but Josè bought him. He could very well fit in with us, but unlikely that Manchester United will do business with us

No idea what you are trying to say.
I don't believe the bid is serious given the source/author of story. At the same time, I am not poo pooing ITK bit either. No one outside the inner circle knows anything. So fans here, we look at the facts before us, and in most cases guess & speculate - thats what I did...

Incase, the bid & interest is serious and we do land him - then I would say he is a versatile player who can play multiple positions - but a player who still doesnt know his true strength & weakness...and in a way, if he is our RB replacement target for Aurier, then we would be gambling...

Can't believe we aren't seemingly seeking Matty Cash or Bogle or for that matter, Watkins.

AMN? Really?

Aurier, Vetonghen. I don't know.

He is homegrown, and there will be a lot of games this season. Might not even be a case of one in one out.

Ploughing my way through the thread, so this may be too late. Hey ho! Jan Vertonghen was out of contract this summer and has already signed for Benfica.

For anyone who wants to see the other end of this
So to summarise.

- The majority of them want him to stay, they believe he has great versatility and that his athleticism, speed and ability to take on a man are valuable. They also note that his one on one defending has improved.

- Some don't rate him and are happy for him to go, a couple even believe he's a championship player but those ppl are getting shot down.

- Pretty much every one wants to see him as a CM because they lack speed and explosiveness in there and believe he's the answer and they can't see why.

- Some believe he knuckles down at RB he'll be one of the best in that position in the league.

- Some rate him higher than Aarons.

- They say he was very effective in shutting down Zaha, Traore which may be a reason why Jose would want him. Traore caused us no end of problems in both games and I don't really see any solutions to those kind of players in our squad currently.

Right, now I'm off for a bath in bleach, need to remove the stench.

Oh and a few believe he's better than Bellerin, who they say is just pace and nothing else (I agree)

When you look at the fees they’re talking about there: (20m for Maitland Niles, 30m Guendouzi, 20m Torreira, 15m Willock) as well as the fact that Saka looks to be one of their best players, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Our youth and loan system is so bungled that we managed to let Edwards, KWP, Onomah, and countless more go for a grand total of fuck all. A huge, massively underutilized at Spurs, source of income is the sale of 21-22 year old players. Chelsea do it, Arsenal do it, City, United, Madrid, Benfica, etc manage to get big fees for young players who aren’t in their first XI, and directly pump that money into quality developed players. Who can we say that about? Winks and Tanganga aren’t bad prospects but this is the next step we must take to compete as a financially overmatched club.

Guendouzi was brought start of last season maybe year before
Torriea was signed after the World Cup it’s not as if they have brought them through the youth system they have both been flops really but would probably excel in other leagues!
