Hakim Ziyech's £40m move to Chelsea has left Erik ten Hag looking to bolster his Ajax attack and Sessegnon is one of his main targets.

If we can get a more defensively solid RB than Aurier I could see Sessegnon getting a chance at LWB. Having said that Cirkin is apparently tearing it up in training so there could be something in it.

A year loan would be great for his development... unless he gets more game time with us than last year.

I wonder if the Dutch league would be of a good enough standard to benefit him. The worst move though would be to loan him to Fulham. He has already had a year in the Premier League with them and would never get out of his comfort zone. Pointless.

I think fullbacks coming out of the Dutch league generally transition very well. Good split between being a big part of the attack, but also having to shut down tricky wingers that every team plays with.

The Dutch league has been a great breeding ground for young players who have gone on to be successful in other leagues. Our very own Vertonghen, Alderweireld and Sanchez came from Ajax, Bergwijn has settled in quickly from PSV, and de Jong and de Ligt have made big moves at young ages too. If we are considering loaning Sess out, then playing regularly for Ajax including champions league, could work well for him and us.

I don't think we'll let him go but wouldn't be a bad move for him

Saw a link for Said Benrahama on football london. Would be great to have someone as technical and exciting as him as an option.

A couple of decent signings and trimming to raise some cash could make next year pretty interesting.

going to respectfully disagree here - let's look for opportunities for the kid, even in advanced positions. Two years ago he came on as a sub against us and was absolute quality - he had a injury hit season, give him a strong pre season and he will be fine

Unfortunately, I don't think sess gets in ahead of Tagliafico at left backand they've already signed two players (Anthony and Kudus) for relative big money who would replace Ziyech as creative WF plus the fact they were already stacked in that position before

The worst move would be for him to go there and sit on the bench for the season.

He needs a move that will help him mature by getting him out of his comfort zone but and give him confidence and allow him to be a big part of the teams success in equal measure

I saw Sessengon play in the championship and thought he’d be a great buy, hopefully he’ll prove to be a great player, as it stands, he might as well play somewhere else for a season.

Great club, exciting football.

I'd like that to happen, take Skipp too. Don't think either will see much action next season, They'd come back gold plated and sexy

If I thought we'd get one of their players in exchange for a loan deal for Sess it wouldn't be the worst move in town.

Well sometimes it takes these moves for players to play in lesser leagues to get the best out of them, look at Edwards for example.

I'd argue he probably benefit more playing at Ajax more so that just merely playing in the Dutch league.

Thinking outside the box. Celtic are in need of a left sided player so playing in the SPFL and CL would help with his development. Spurs could also negotiate first refusal on Edouard and Ajer, two players who will move to a higher level, in return for the loan of Sess.

Edouard is a better all round player than Dembele who went to Lyon and who may end up in the EPL. Both fit the profile of ENIC signings. Tierney did too, but we missed out on him.
