Q: 'Could someone else beat Spurs to Halilović & Jedvaj yet'. Mamić: 'Yes, that's possible'

Mamić mentions Arsenal as one of the contenders for both players...

My hunch (and some sources) tell me Dinamo did agree 99% with Spurs, but president Barišić announced it prematurely.

The deal is probably not yet 100% done so can't be officially confirmed, so this could be damage control after the unwanted leak.

Mamić: 'I took the Halilović family from a truck, when they were leaving for Madrid where Alen was about to go for free a few years ago'

Thanks for posting. Worth pointing out that the tweets are apparantly from Mamic (boss of Dinamo) press conference
https://twitter.com/AlexHoliga.

Looks like its 99% done, but not sutre if the leak of the deal was down to 'incompetence' or an effort to see if there is a last minute bid to drive up the price. BTW no price mentioned in press conference that I could see.

Now, I could be wrong, but my impression is that this whole press conference show thing was just damage control after unwanted leak.

I believe it's only that president Barišić announced the deal prematurely, before it could be confirmed - but it's 99% done.

A few people asking if I think today's presser was an attempt by Dinamo to attract even better offers for Halilović and Jedvaj.

We've probably gone down in popularity as we have no Croatians at the moment. That'll hopefully change if/when these two lads join and become huge players.

Tottenham is already very popular here in Croatia, not just because of Croatians that were here, but also because of Bale. Not sure if Liverpool is more popular anymore. Arsenal is probably most popular english club after Manchester United here. Most of my friends are United or Arsenal fans (yeah I know), and I have couple of Villa and Tottenham fans. Most clubs in England are considered big, Lovren was very happy to leave Lyon and join Southampton.

Didn't the Palermo president announce we had agreed with them for a double deal with Simon Kjaer and Edinson Cavani for 33 million euros only to have to take it back? You never know what can happen.

I am not convinced by him, I need real stats such as his FIFA 13 and FM potential on this thread. ;-)

So is this done?...Now it looks like we've got paulinho, the last thing I want is the gooners coming in and out bidding us on this deal. Halilovic's potential looks through the roof...

Not done yet, Mamic said once it is done it will be announced on Dinamo and Tottenham official sites. I think it will be done this week.

If we do sign Halilovic, he stays at Dinamo for one more year and if Dinamo make the group stage of the champions league (quite likely), he could well be our midfielder with the most Champions League experience next year.
