Guess it depends on a few things. Whether she settles in London with a new-born, gels with teammates and enjoys the league and club, enjoys the winter weather etc.

None of that will be relevant to whether she stays another season or not.
If she stays another season will purely depend on whether the Womens Soccer League in States restarts next season after being cancelled this year due to the pandemic. That is only reason players are over here, and on short term deals, to get some football whilst the teams they are contracted to are unable to play.

As far as I can see new signing Kennedy plays midfield and I think she played against Everton but in both games Spurs created very few chances , more ominous is that Spurs weren't at all impressive against West Ham and Woolwich demolished West Ham last week so our women need to step up the pace quickly.
Alanna Kennedy is a central defender.

I love how sports stars in America call teams - organisations or franchises. I mean I get why they do it and use the terminology but find it so business like.

Just saw this on Forbes; no fee & don't have to pay her a salary ? Anyone know if this is true ? View attachment 74495

I read something similar else where. It mentions she does not have to go back to Orlando if she doesn't want to and can remain with us without a transfer fee because she is being paid by her national team and not by Orlando.

Hi Everyone ;)

I have a little question ! maybe someone will be able to help me ! Yesterday they posted this video on twitter :

Then they deleted it and posted another version of the same video but in this version they cut 7 seconds. In this 7 seconds Alex is talking with José Mourinho and he is asking to Alex if she could play for the men's team.
So i just wanted to know if by any chance someone saved this version of the video ?
Some people saw it but sadly they didn't save it :(

Thank you in advance !

1 - She's an absolutely incredible signing. One of the best in the game and Tottenham signing her is impressive. I've always been curious about the Women's game more and more, especially as Tottenham's team has slightly gotten better and this now pushes me to fully keep up to date with what they're doing.

2 - It's great to see the club in general are moving forward in like every aspect of the club, so both the Men's and Women's team.

3 - Unlike Yedlin, this is the signing that will legit build up our USA connections. She's got this much coverage already and hasn't kicked a ball for us. With her skill and the talent in the WSL, I can see her (even after coming off a year without playing) being very successful here and helping grow the WSL, the women's game and Tottenham women too.

4 - I know it was never gonna happen but imagine if we had gotten Rapinoe too. The reaction and profile of it all would have been immesne and I'd have been here for all of the awful takes that were surely gonna come out of it. Morgan is enough with her 'Tea' celebration (which to god I hope she does here).

5- As we can't seem to ignore it, the issue with attractiveness of female football players is when that's the first thing you mention about them. Before their footballing ability or anything else. Finding them attractive isn't but that being the primary focus is. Especially as it often feels like/seems like if you didn't find them attractive then you'd respect them less etc...

6 - With regards to attractiveness and men and the imbalance, yes there are women that will appreciate men's football players for their looks first and foremost but you cannot view that in isolation. Like it or not, we have a society which for the longest time had said women's value is their looks and home skills etc... where as men's is making money and work. So viewing women based on their looks plays on that inequality whilst doing it with men, whilst still reducing them to just looks, isn't on a par with how it works with women.

Does anyone know if there is a way of finding out how much merchandise the club has sold, other than waiting for the income statement,/balance sheet?

The club doesn’t participate much in merchandise sales - they get essentially a fixed fee over a period of years. Obviously if we sell tons of kit then at the next negotiation with kit suppliers we’ll expect that fixed annual payment to go up, but it’s not 1:1 with sales and certainly not in the short term.

More importantly: this is just the Ultimate Levy signing. We get a superstar for no fee and someone else pays 100% of their wages. Between Morgan and Bale, Daniel has done pretty nicely...

Was talking units of kits sold and there is merchandise sold by the club, because those would sell at a higher rate as well.
Feel that the club will be sold on in a couple years.

Dan KP has an article on Alex Morgan today that I thought was interesting. It has some background on how she ended up at Tottenham and what it means for her and the club.
