Off to Burnley according to Sky?

Disappointed if that's the case. If he's going out on loan then there's surely a PL option out there?

Agree preference would be a prem side but he's been out for so long and will take some time to get up to speed that a lower level prem side might not have been willing to take the chance which I can understand.

Better to keep him in the squad

With being on loan last season, and being injured for all but a fortnight or so in August, he's not really had the chance to train under Poch yet.

I'd consider loaning him to WBA if we could use him as a sweetner to get Berahino. They could do with his creativity and he could benefit with the Premier League experience.

Looking objectively this probably makes sense, coming back from injury, he needs game time, and he'd struggle to get that with us, so going to a top championship side he can regain that match fitness and then come back for a full pre-season.

Ridiculous if we loan him out, the kid is really talented has shown he can do it in the Championship and would provide real competition for Eriksen

Doesn't make any sense to loan him out now. See how he goes and loan him out later if he's not getting games

Winks et al won't need another 6-8 weeks to get Match fit enough to play in Poch's system
From what we've seen so far we will need to get hit by the plague for winks to get minutes so keeping him around doesnt make sense to me.prich would take a while to get match fit but has more of a chance of getting a game.not much point getting him match fit if hes out at burnley unavailable.already proved he can do the championship.

I seem to remember Poch saying a month or 2 ago that he would be staying.
Besides I believe he is still not 100% over his injury.

So why would we loan him out?

Just back from injury and hasn't played all season and people outraged by a potential loan move to Championship contenders...... We haven't got time to bed him in this season, send out on loan for a month or so and maybe get some use from him late March onwards for a few games when match fit. Otherwise it's next season for this guy.

Assuming it's true, I do think it's a poor decision.

Remember when Falque went to Southampton? He was clearly good enough to play but Adkins didn't want to upset the balance of a team pushing for promotion so left him on the sidelines. I worry that the samething could happen here and would've thought loaning him back to Brentford would've been a better option.

Maybe Sean Dyche was really keen on getting him in and intends to play him regularly once he's fully fit so I wouldn't write this off completely.

Coming round to this, I really wanted him in team this season but being realistic there is just no space for him.

Let me go on loan and build up some fitness and confidence so that he is raring to go next season.

Dont see the logic in sending him out to the championship if your keeping players like winks about
I think Winks at this moment in time would learn more playing against players like Dembele, Dier & Bentaleb everyday in training than going on loan to the championship... I think he will have learned a lot this season, maybe next year a loan to the right club & manager someone like Eddie Howe or Tony Mowbray would be good for his career.. but at the moment most managers in the Championship are about self-preservation

Look at our fixture list for February.... And if we get through in EL and FA cup we'll have more in March.

We need him. We need his quality.

People demand players are rested but we need the best quality we have in reserve to fill in.

Letting him go is a big mistake imo.
