I loved Allan Nielsen. I started supporting Spurs in 1995 and in the early days (did he join in 1996?) of my life as a Yiddo he was one of the few midfielders we had who was both a busy **** and could chip in with the odd goal too. Not the greatest footballer on the planet, but he ran his bollocks off for us. Not to mention the winner vs Leicester. I'll always have time for this chap: top man!

Awful cup final but what a finish to the game. Pretty awful goal too if I remember right.

It was. If I remember correctly, Iversen broke down the right, and crossed/shot across the goal. The Leicester keeper (think it was ex-Yid Kasey Keller?) palmed it out but Nielsen followed in and tapped the ball home from close range.

I remember going mental: half due to the fact that it was the first trophy I had ever seen Spurs win, and half due to the fact that the cheating wanker Savage was getting his karmic comeuppance for play-acting to get Justin Edinburgh sent off. Have some of that, you blonde lady-boy ****!!!

Any more players from the miserable 90s joining the coaching setup while we're at it?

Surely the best bit is beating a team with the great Emile Heskey in it.

Surely.

It was a header, no? I don't remember it standing out as a bad goal particularly but it was a long time ago.

The best bit was beating a team with Robbie Savage who had been acting up a bit in the match if I remember rightly.

Yep a diving header, it was a good goal I thought. He gambled making a run and it pulled off well

I remember we went on a good run in the league towards the end of the season and were overwhelming favourites for the cup. If it weren't for Heskey's shite finishing we probably would have never won the cup

Leicester's plan was to nullify anything that Ginola did and it worked pretty well. They weren't slouches then, they had the likes of Lennon, Guppy, Matt Elliot, Savage, Heskey and Izzet if I recall.

Although Edinburgh will be dissapointed he fell for Savage's bait, he will be pleased that at a player as rubbish as himself managed to win an FA cup and league cup with Spurs :D . Even Graham managed to make him look decent for a season!

4:45 - it was actually a decent goal, good ball from Ferdinand, great run by the always-underrated Iversen, save from the keeper and good header by Allan.

Great way to win an otherwise dire football match.

I met Allan once after a game, think we'd just played Blackburn and I was in the players' bar after the game. He was wearing the most vile tweed suit I'd ever seen with the collar up. Didn't mind chatting to an awkward teenager though despite his fashion sense (or lack of). Nice guy.

Interestingly on the same occasion Ginola had no time for me whatsoever (I was probably about 16/17 so I don't blame him) - I've been too scared to speak to him at the two opportunities I've had since in case he mugs me off again and tarnishes my love for him forever!

I can take rejection from David once (it's understandable - he's way out of my league), but any more would be too painful...

Also on the same day I met Mabbsy for the fourth time I think it was - an absolute gem of a bloke who couldn't have been happier to chat to a nervous idiot child meeting his idol yet again (he actually even recognised me as having swooned at him before, which practically led to me collapsing on the spot).

Chris Perry.

Willem Korsten is being drafted in to help Lamela really hide in the shadows. This is after him being seen a couple of times recently, club felt Lamela would benefit from a specialist coach.

I liked the goal where the keeper kicked it straight to him and he knocked it right back in, then did press-ups on the pitch for some reason. Mental
