I think for 40 he could be worth a punt. Though I’d prefer Grealish for 50. Not sure we’d get either for those fees, and not sure we have the money, unless Ndombele is on the way out for good money

ASM I’m not sure about to be honest. Looks skilful, but I think if we’re massively shelling out for for an attacker, I’d want someone with a more consistent final ball

Although Grealish would cost more we would be in a better position to negotiate with Villa than the likes of Bournemouth. Grealish has already indicated it’s time to move on and we would be better placed to negotiate cash + players with Villa than we would be with Bournemouth etc as it would require our players stepping down a level. Granted Bournemouth players would be cheaper but you’re talking the difference between a good player in Brooks but has sadly had a serious injury and an exceptional player in Grealish who has been relatively injury free.

Depends what our aspirations are. If we want top 4 we need creativity that we can rely on week in week out and for me that would be Grealish.

I know some love him, but I am so glad we never signed Zaha. Just incredibly overrated and personally think a club like Everton is his ceiling.

Maybe not £80m but his price definitely increased a lot by Villa staying up.
