Excellent player, truly fantastic. I have waxed lyrical about him for several months now and was my favorite player watching the EL. Not at the level of say, Naby Keita at the moment, but has all the potential in the world.

I would also add, he would be a better fit for us than any of the other midfielders we've been linked with.

For what it's worth, don't think we have a chance of getting Ndombele now. If we won't pay what's required this summer, certainly can't see us paying what he'll be worth next summer. The guy is going to be class.

I like Morgan Sanson from what I've seen, he's a box-to-box midfielder, a bit like Gundogan at City. Not sure how much he'd be worth, but at only 22/23, he's got a lot of potential.

Mario Lemina is one I can actually see happening on deadline day - probably more of a 'gettable' target than the others, as well.

We've definitely been linked loosely before, maybe in the transfer wishlist thread at the end of last season. Think he was presented as an option alongside Ndombele. The RB teams do seem to have a knack for talent spotting and from the little I've seen EL semis he seems a good option as a Dembele replacement.

Pretty sure Lyall has linked us with him in the past. Same for a couple others on the list. I thought, could be wrong, Lyall wrote this piece but he likes his name's in the light so maybe he just worked on it with someone else. Most of the players here have had a thread at one point, though I think a couple got deleted.

I would not read so incredibly literal to JJ's the player has not been reported on yet simply because, as he's said himself in the past, when he has said that people find random articles from people that pop up about the player. It could well be a player we've seen linked and discussed but he or the club haven't and not recently.

We've been linked to both of them much earlier in the window but it wasn't widespread so wouldn't be surprising if JJ didn't see it.

Ronaldo Vieira (I know, what a name) who's just gone to Sampdoria would have been a good wildcard option, for this post Dembele era. Would have been a bit of a gamble, but he's only 19 and had looked very impressive for Leeds, some of their fans rate him even higher than Lewis Cook at the same age.
