Belotti is a hard working striker and the captain in Torino. Somehow I can’t see him suceed outside of Italy.

A loan with an option to buy for a teams captain and top scorer? Assume we think Torino are in financial trouble for that bid to be taken seriously but even if they were surely they would want cash from a straight sale.
It's hard to see any scenario where such a bid would be accepted

Not for that fee. He's good but not that good and unproven outside Italy.

Deeney on a season loan and Milik for free next summer for me.

Not a knock on you because I have seen many say ' ... and Milik for a free next summer ... ' If we fuck this up this window with Deeney ending up being the back up, we'll need a whole lot more than Milik on a free next summer ... Just saying.

I don't know much about him other than he was a beast for me on my Befica FM career this season but so was Gedson
If that's the case it's a shame we can't send Gedson back as swap and bring him in on a loan with an option to buy instead as a punt (tongue in cheek....)

Belotti was the hottest striker in the mortal world about 4 years ago. Turned down offers to move and didn't kick on. Possibly injured?

Torino Calcio is the team I support in Italy and I follow them every week. You are right that he was the mustard until 2 years ago (not 4) and was scoring for fun. However, he then suffered an injury which kept him out for about 6 months and has now become half the player he was.

I'd keep away from him if I was Daniel, he's too much of a risk.

Getting Deeney would be a disaster

I think Son/Dele/Lucas and Bergwijn would score loads running off and scooping up the scraps from the chaos Deeney will cause a lot defences.

Deeney will do a job and for one season, I'm happy with him. That is assuming we can get Milik on a free next summer.

Belotti is nothing special. He’s still in the national team but he’s second choice to immobile who’s just miles ahead. I’m not a fan, don’t think he’d ever settle here.
I watch a lot of Italian football as my GF is a die hard Milan fan. (She may leave me if they sign Aurier)

I’m struggling to believe that bid. We are asking Torino, can we have your best striker for free and maybe pay you £50m in a year’s time?

In what world would they ever say yes. Utter nonsense.

I really hope Belotti isn't our mystery striker. Was a great player a couple of seasons back but not any more.

There are those on this site who will have suitably in-depth knowledge of this player to assess his strengths and weaknesses and how he'd fit in a Mourinho team and with Son and Kane.

And then there's me sat here thinking 'Spurs, the team with the cockerel on their badge, have been linked with a player who does a rooster impression to celebrate his goals? That's fucking perfect'.

View attachment 73268

Admittedly, it's not the world's greatest rooster impression, but it's good enough for him to have been nicknamed 'Il gallo' (aka the Rooster).

Anyone have any insight on whether he’s any good/suited to Mourinho? Would he be a starter/competition or back up?

Has it been confirmed he's on this list we seem to have?
