Yes please from me. I know he's old, but he's just so damn classy. Would love to see him in our shirt, if even for a mediocre season.

Haha, I wouldn't mind on a one year deal... Could see him being a great tutor for Carroll

It'd be interesting to see if even his set pieces will be rubbish in Tottenham shirt as it is with Sigurdsson or Eriksen.

@ImmenDimensions: Why would we let a 26 year old THudd go and then sign a 34 year old Pirlo? Why, why, why?

This is actually a serious tweet if his ensuing tweets are anything to go by.

Pirlo with any Sandro/Capoue/Dembele to protect him would be epic. Probably the best passer in the game at the moment and has at least two/three more seasons left in him.

Getting on a bit but we are severly lacking in quality passers of the ball in our current squad.

One of my favourite players of all time. I'm not buying it though. He's still a top class player but at his age to move over to a foreign league is going to be a really tough move for him. All he's ever known is Italian football and the Premier League is very different. Sure, there are plenty of high tempo games in Italy, but it's not just about that. In Italy players are given a lot of space, the pitches are bigger and the midfield is less compact. In the Premier League he'll be crowded out and I worry that'll leave him ineffective. I can't see this happening.

The only place that will ever leave Pirlo ineffective is retirement

Hopefully we can agree a contract then offer Juve a small fee to do the deal in January like the Holtby deal. Would give the whole squad a huge boost to have a player of this caliber come in.

No from me

He would be a liability at his age with the pace of the premiership

Plus his wages would be sky high
