I will be so fucking upset if we sell Andros. Absolutely unnecessary. One of the players that can make the biggest impact this season, English/HG, huge potential, if we sell him now he'll end up going for 2-3 times that later on. I'm really getting tired of AVB's philosophy of throwing away every damn English player we have just because his name doesn't end in "inho"...This would be a ridiculous transfer, he is already capable of being a starter for us.
Such as? Huddlestone was a good servant but was time to go. Jake has gone on a season long loan that could be hugely beneficial to him and Spurs. What English players would you keep then that AVB has "thrown away" that would improve our squad. Caulker went for very good money and was 4th choice. Very much doubt Townsend is on his way to QPR in a £5mil double deal with Parker, thats complete horseshit for starters.

The only thing I would say is that I have heard that Townsend is not liked by the playing squad

Andros is not worth £9m!! Absolutely not!! If he wasnt playing for us people would be saying £5m tops!

imo Townsends fee will be similar to Taarabts. Sell him for roughly £3m but with a 50% sell-on or something in case he does make it

If we get lammy in, then maybe, just maybe i can see this happeninging. But like others, id like to see him with a season of AVB on his case, sanding down those rough edges.

Lol if we sold him for £3 million I give up.

He's worth nearer £10 million than £5 million don't be ridiculous.

Based on good spring at QPR? Didn't make that big impact on his previous loans leading to mere three caps on U21 level.

Half a decent season in the premiership and you think he's worth £10m?
I think you've got Spurs glasses on imo. Not having a dig, we're all guilty of it at times

He's 22.
He's homegrown
He is fast, has good control, a good cross on him and a great shot.
He has the potential to be a class PL winger.

Just to name a few of the reasons he would be a valuable commodity.

I made an effort to watch almost every game he played for in QPR; something I guess most didn't. Hence why they write it off as 'half a good season at QPR'. He was more than playing well, he was their outlet for everything and carried them at times. Against Arsenal he absolutely ruined Monrreal, that's just to name one of many fullbacks he did it too.

Not saying he isn't without his flaws but if you look at the type of money players are going for or priced at, to say he's under £5 million or around that figure is ridiculous for me.

Might just be my onion but I'm basing it on what I saw for us past few years, for QPR and this pre-season and also the market at the moment.

I like him. He isn't afraid to move with the ball and he can shoot. Shame he didn't score that chance against Espanyol. I hope we keep him. But if we are buying Lamela or Willian, and Bale is staying he won't play much.

So they could line up with Parker, Townsend, Taraabt, Bentley and Jenas next year? Would be hard not to support them a little given they're basically our litter bin

If there is any truth in this its probably because he want first team football every week and will not accept beeing a part time player.

We'd be stupid to sell him. Last season we had no wide cover at all. Now with Lennon/Townsend/Chadli we actually have a bit of depth. Selling the club's two best homegrown players since Ledley in one summer would be utter lunacy.

Selling Townsend and purchasing Ince would be decent business imo.

In what way? Townsend is only half a year older than Ince but has more experience and is proven in the Premier League. Going by the prices bandied about that Blackpool would want for Ince (and considering there would be enough clubs interested in him to drive that up even further) we'd be making a loss on the exchange.

If he's decided he must have first team football and we're going to sell him, we had best put in a sizable sell-on clause. Cut Harry a deal on the fee, maybe 3m, but leave us with a 50% clause. That way if he does fulfill his potential and becomes a £15m player, we can get him back for 7.5m - 3m = 4.5m total spend. Good business all around. And if he doesn't cut it at QPR, he was never going to do great things for us anyway.
