Annoyance with Sky's football coverage

Well, I am the type of person that doesn't like to miss a second of a match that Spurs are playing but anyway, my dad doesn't seem greatly bothered, but I fucking hate it. Does it piss anyone else off when Sky continue to show replays, or a manager/player in the dugout etc when the match is playing?

Can't stand it. You can only hear the crowd reacting to something and all you can see is a manager just standing there doing fuck all. I always shout 'show the fucking game!' at the TV :bang:

Rant over

Considering it's usually only for about 3 seconds, no.

And we wouldn't have all those awesome manager GIF's if the cameras only focused on the football.

It only bothers me when it gets repetitive but all the broadcasters do it.

I hate it as well. They often just show the manager standing there doing fuck all whilst the ball is in play? Madness.

No, because it's always been like that and always will be.

Yea to be honest, I wasn't sure if other broadcasters did it less or more as obviously most football is shown on SKY. It's just something I've strongly noticed in the last year or so for whatever reason.

To be honest I don't think it's the replay's themselves that piss me off, it's the repetition of certain replays and the showing of someone who is doing absolutely nothing when the match is playing for 5+ seconds . I can't remember if it happened with this actual moment, probably not but just for a example, when Gallas tripped Lampard in the box yesterday, they'd show one replay, in that time the match would have started but no, they have to show it fucking again and maybe another time in case you missed the 3 other times they'd probably shown it. I really do sound like such a moany old **** to be honest  But it does annoy me. Only when it's Spurs though to be honest.

I'm just gratefu to be able to see live footy on tv. Didn't really mind the first 10-15 of Sky as I was a ST holder during that time. Since studies, work, family have entered my life, and dwindling free time, it's manna from Heaven.

I can't imagine life now with the coverage I was used to during the first 10 yrs of my life. Sweet FA for the entire yr save a 9000456 hr Grandstand marathon on the FA Cup final Saturday (which was always epic tbf).

Yea I know what you mean. Don't get me wrong, this little 'issue' does frustrate a lot but I can still recognise it as a very minor frustration and I know a range of people have negative views of SKY but I fucking love SKY and their general coverage of football.

I agree with you though. The thuuuuuuper thlow mos are tedious and the overblown dramatic montages at the beginning of every match are a bit cringe-worthy. Jazz hands!

YES this fucking pisses me off. Every time we play on TV i always end up shouting 'SHOW THE FUCKING GAME' when they do slow motion replays of players faces expressions, when theres a bloody counter attack going on.

Glad i'm not the only one.

Yea they certainly can be :)

Exactly, it's not even just when nothing is seemingly happening on the pitch but also when like you said, counter attacks are being made. At the very least show something worthwhile not a close up of someone's face when the game is being played!

It annoys me a small bit but not as much as Gary Neville has been annoying me recently with his theories on what's been going wrong for us.

Why do you keep capitalising SKY?

It's the fucking camera angles that are starting to annoy the shit out of me with sky, i really hate that low pitch angle like we've been having at WHL this season and that they had at Chelsea on Saturday.

Tell you what pisses me off, when they pan in on a particular fan and keep going back to the same fan whilst the game is being played. Just no need.
