.@EspoirsduFoot understand Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a bid of 20M Euros for Anthony Martial of AS Monaco. #THFC

Highly doubt this is true, as I can't see Levy spending that much on an 18-year old, but whatever, might as well have a thread just in case....

TBF, this kid is gonna be amazing, watched him in the Emirates Cup yesterday and he was Monaco's best player.

Anyone French know if this paper is even vaguely reliable?

Club was willing to spend 15m euros on 17 year old Halilovic so it's not impossible. Never heard of Martial before though.

No idea how good he is now. I only know him from FIFA.

Apparently Monaco signed him from Lyon last summer for 5m euros. Can't see Levy quadrupling their money in a year.

I know he is very highly regarded.....but that price tag seems high.

Wouldn't be surprised if we were interested in him as a player but at £15m i could see the interest ending rather quickly....

Levy would insist on lots of "achievement" clauses in any deal for an 18-year-old.

Amazing prospect but not even close to being worth that kind of money right now. Will probably become an absolute stellar player in a couple of years. Scored 2 goals and played 1 assist in 15 appearances over 704 minutes in Ligue 1 last year.

If he's any good then Monaco will just keep him, they are loaded and have no need to sell players, no story here!

Does he play through the middle or would he play the role Rodriguez played at Soton for Poch?

Through the middle. ST/CF. Very, very quick. Like a better Origi basically, but I doubt we're even in for him, especially at that price.

Just wondering if he'd be a Rodriguez alternative, didn't Origi play on the left for Lille?

No, not that sort of player, but could be used there I guess. Better on RW than LW, but his best position is still striker by far.

He is still very young, plenty of time to grow and reach his potential.

It's a spelling mistake: it's not Anthony Martial but another Martian. Levy has been looking for bargain buys and he's been busy lately trying to register and get work permits for Martians....:p
