On paper it seems that many clubs have done their best business in ages. Why aren't they experiencing this difficulty.
The market is the market, it's as difficult as you make it.

“The market is the market, it’s as difficult as you make it”

Levy should probably just scrap his 15 years experience as a premier league chairman and 1st class economics degree from Cambridge because Barry from SC has just told him everything he needs to know about markets in one sentence.

In fact they might aswell just end all economic academia. Makes you wonder why anyone bothered with it all in the first place. Economics is really just that simple.

Why can’t there just be a little bit of nuance that the market is difficult due to factors out of our control (especially for us due to past signing mistakes, our need(desire) to work on 0 net spend, and the fact we only looking at the top percentile of player due to how good our team is) along with some mistakes by the club this window? That’s all I’m saying.

So you think that Chelsea are going to sell either of them after they can replace them?

Ok...

I don't know how Chelsea will roll, but Real have the possibility of buying Premier league players until the end of the month.

I don't know about all that, just saying many clubs seem to be doing good business.

This wont end well, IMO

I think most understand it will be difficult, just have to accept that.

However that doesn't mean it won't or can't happen. Just have to wait and see how it pans out, a lot of variables in play.

Rubbish defending led to a Bayern goal. Will Jose be stomping his feet for Toby? Levy could still win this.

Interestingly Bailly went off injured. Did anyone see if it was serious?

Edit: sorry, thought this was the Toby thread.

Yarmolenko was on our radar a couple of years back I believe, presumably we had better options. Anderson will do to West Ham exactly what Payet did. Spend 12-18 months there and use them as a stepping stone when he realises he's a big fish in a relatively small pond.

It's a shame then that all our primary targets didn't reject us early doors. Anderson is very decent, and if he does rip it up his premium will be extortionate. Yarmelenko is a punt, but one I would of taken. If nothing else he would be great for rotation, or so I believe.

With regards to my earlier post to A&C, yes we all know HG is required, some players can leave on loan to organise squad etc. Martial has not been offered to us but we are pushing for him.
I know how it will end, but this is still making me ooze a little.

And more contracts (not finding photos of them all :cautious:)
That's all well and good but the CL money should be invested back into the team.

Thanks, so he is not being offered but a deal can be done regardless of HG situation I presume.

And some has been, Sanchez, Foyth and Lucas last season as a few, add on the players new contracts for our main players.

Yes we haven't signed anyone yet, but I expect something to happen.

Investing in the new stadium will increase the turnover and once paid will allow us to compete with fees and wages with teams we cant compete against just now. The new training facility should help with improving the talent we have Alos in first team and youth teams. So again it is/will be invested in the team.
