Not as a director of football.
Given that that European scout has fucked off to the bin dippers.
I wouldn't mind taking him occupying a similar role.
But no way should he be chief of scout or director of football.

We could perhaps use him to paint the white lines other than that he can fuck off!

Don't reckon Harry would have him anywhere near his teams either!

I'd rather have Comelli back! People were gutted when Arnesen left and happy when Comelli left but Comelli's signings were way better. You could argue though, that the club were able to attract better players when Comelli was here so it's not a straight comparison

It's more a case of if Levy is looking beyond Harry to go back to the DOF role that he said he favours long term.

If Redknapp gets the call up to England duties I can see Levy going back to the DOF / Coach model that he saw moderate success with back in the Arnesen day. It will mean a European coach, although our choice of candidate may be the next ranking given our recent success.

After the shambles of Hoddle's tenure, Arnesen had to assemble a squad almost from scratch, and succeeded in producing a team who, under Jol, his choice of manager, were capable of competing in the Premiership.

Comolli inherited a functioning set-up and signed a mish-mash of players from whom neither Jol nor Ramos, his choice of manager, were able to put together a team that was not at risk of relegation.

No fucking way I dont want anyone because the job Harry and Levy have done is out of this world on the budget and wages and timescale.

Keep it as it is, Arsenen can fuck right off

Used to love transfer windows under Arnesen, we would sign a random youngster from across the globe, on average every 3 days. Was never dull.

It's impossible to compare him to Comolli solely on who was signed, as he had much less to work with and a much tougher task of rebuilding a whole squad, as some have mentioned already.

I'm not so sure Levy would take Arnesen back on though given how burned we were by him first time round. He does seem like a useful guy to have around given his contacts around the world.

if he could do a good job for the club, then by all means take him back. Assuming it wouldn't be an issue for the manager that is

Why do you think this? We've done better since we ditched that system, so why do you think Levy would want to return to it? Gen. Q.

It is undeniable that Harry has benefited from the long-sighted recruitment policy we had under the DoF system though. The amount of young talent he he found when he got here was any manager's dream - to his credit he has been able to mature it, and add team spirit and a burgeoning winning mentality.

I don't think that has to do with a DoF or lack of it, just an experienced guy who we have been fortunate to get when he is at the top of his game.

I met this guy in Mauritius - don't like him...full of himself...perhaps he has the right cause he did come fantastic things but Spurs don't need him now....
