Had a mental dream that we went 5-1 up after 30 mins but for some reason I had to leave.

Fast forward to full time and we'd lost 6-9 ...........after extra time.

I don't even know what to make of that.

I think we're better than them, but I'm weirdly gloomy and pessimistic and think we'll lose.

Wow! 30% of voters are optimistically deluded in thinking we'll win this. I admire it though.
I can't see why not . Arsenal have not been amazing , the Newcastle game was not amazing for us but we still made chances and on a better day they would have gone in and we drew with city when many thought we would get a thrashing .It's only the start of the season so anything can happen.

Our record there is shocking which really kind of makes you even more pessimistic than you could be going into the game just based on our form.

I won’t be watching the game live or on TV which is probably the first time for ages. I’ll watch a recording of it when I get back home.

Hate the fixture and hate watching it. Even if we win it’ll only be relief!

I like that they are extremely confident though. Did they not watch how Liverpool, a going through the motions Liverpool, strolled past them last week? I just watched something where goons were talking about being primed to challenge for a title this season. What the fuck is that about?

Ceballos being lauded as some kind of saviour...he was fucking embarassing last week ( cue a 45 yard overhead kick winner from him tomorrow )

Our record away at any top side is shocking. An area where we’ve been lacking for years now. Crystal Palace put us to shame in this area for example.

Maybe, but our attack so far this season has been about as sharp as rhino's arse! And no, there is no such thing as a lesser spotted sharp arsed rhino!!
Thus far, we have played two sides that played a low block with 8-9 defenders and one side that kept the ball and won it back every time they lost it. Nevertheless, we've scored 5 goals.

Arsenal won't play a low block at home and there should be openings to score. Our squad is short of positivity and togetherness at present and we aren't playing our best defender and best midfielder, so there's every chance we'll concede more than we score, but we should be able to pass and move among their defenders and, if we can finish, we should be able to score some goals.

It's a different proposition than trying to pry an opening against Villa's and Newcastle's surprisingly well-drilled massed defences. Arsenal have to try to win the game and they won't sit on a 1-goal lead unless there's an hour gone.

Obviously, for the sake of our season we need to start putting in performances that are a damned sight better than anything we've seen so far this term, but this is Arsenal away: the only thing that matters is not getting beaten or, dare to dream, actually winning the fucker. We've got an international break coming after this and we can worry about picking up our performance levels after that has been and gone, but it's too horrible for words to imagine us losing to the scum and then having 2 weeks to stew on it.

I don't care if it's a terrible performance and a Man City (A)-like camping in our own box for 90 minutes: JUST. DON'T. LOSE.

Our player's said that last year and couldn't back it up in both games and we got taken apart at theirs, so I wouldn't get too carried away.

They'll press us high like City did, can't see us getting out of own half too often and giving the ball away too often and too easily as a result. I fear an embarrassing afternoon as I don't see our lot being up for the fight.

It doesn't matter how good they are or whether we play their ladies team we always and will continue to do so lose there because we just can't cope with expectation or pressure to deliver, it won't change an arsenal know this and each year we go there as sacrificial lambs.

Didn't we win there 0-2 in the cup last year?...surely there was more pressure to deliver then than in a league match?

Considering how early in the season it is, this is a massive game for so many reasons.
A good performance is a must.

Would rather a result than a performance. I know it’s only early days but right now, City and Liverpool look a million miles away in the table from us. We lose and it’s a terrible start to the season.

Need to kick this losing habit. Far too many defeats this year

I wouldn't have thought so mate the biggest games with the most importance we tend to lose you know that and no I'm not being negative.
