Robbie talking about De Bruyne.

"That's what you get when you pay that kind of money"

Arsenal's biggest transfer fees...
£72m Nicolas Pepe
£55m Aubemeyang
£45m Lacazette
£37m Ozil
£35m Mustafi
£30m Xhaka

.....nothing to do with spending money, Robbie. Everything to do with your crappy scouting network.

To think Pepe is going to cost them £50m over the next FIVE seasons and they spanked £15m on ceballos for a season loan!
What with half of their starting XI looking at exit strategies they really need a hard nosed bar steward to come in and build some serious foundations.
I look at their team and there isn’t anyone who I’d have in our starting XI, pea/Lacazette/Leno on the bench perhaps but take them three out and they’ve got nothing.
Hard times ahead...?

The fucks are so radioactive i’m surprised away fans aren’t issued with hazmat suits and Geiger counters.

Though that might explain the strangeness and strong sense of delusion.

Weirdly, Arsenal seem to be turning into West Ham. A few good players, plenty of average players, and a whole lot of meh.

Idk who pea is but guendouzi is going to be some player. I’d take him in a heartbeat.

I hope their manager search drags on...

best if it's after the Jan transfer window.

Conventional wisdom since the summer's been that there's a top four (or close to) team there if Emery could find the right set-up or, since he was sacked, they could get the right manager in. I think that idea is going by the wayside now. They are in deep shit and they do not have the players to rescue this season. Worse, the best of what they have may well bail at the end of the season

They're reaping four or five seasons of atrocious squad management and it's going to be a f**k of a job to turn around. The CL money (and the status that went with being regulars) that they took for granted for nearly 20 years has dried up just when the financial rewards for participating have stepped up to another level. Without that how do they attract elite players, or even retain the few they still have?

The fact they don't have a manager in place now tells you all about the attractiveness of the job. Brendan Rodgers uses them to get a better contract at Leicester? Leicester City, ffs? Mourinho will have foreseen both Emery and Pochettino's jobs possibly becoming available after poor starts. Did he wait for the Arsenal job? No. We like to think Pochettino would turn it down out of loyalty if it was offered. I think straightforward career self-interest would be enough for him to turn it down without even considering loyalty.

I wouldn't put money on them to finish top ten this season. And a relegation battle isn't inconceivable at this point.

So.....

Chinese media outlet Global Times said on its Twitter account yesterday that CCTV made the decision to remove the Arsenal-Manchester City game from its live broadcasts after Özil’s comments had “disappointed fans and football governing authorities”. CCTV showed a recorded game between Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers instead.

Imagine every arsenal fan tuning in... and having to see us beat Wolves. :ROFLMAO:
