That’s not actually Arsenal though is it unless I’m mistaken? That’s just some dick head fan thinking he’s funny.
Even though this post was from a fan account, it's maximum cringeworthy that they made the bloody video in the first place

This is from two years ago but just shows the difference in class. You just know the Arse lot would never have kept schtum if the boot had been on the other foot.

Another year of them out of the champions league is a good one for us. Sure it’s fucking annoying they won the cup but without CL football they won’t be as attractive to players or be able to pay them the wages required to get them (on top of no match day income).

Which means unless they recruit brilliantly they will finish outside the qualifying places too.

Pandemic hitting them so hard they have to let 55 staff go but they have the money/budget to try and sign Willian and attempt to give PEA a new contract whilst Ozil sits on the bench and doesn't play but gets 350k per week?

No class at all. I know they're working for the dark side, but I still feel really sorry for those 55 people.

I remember at the beginning of the pandemic their fans were praising them for not furloughing staff and doing something else (I can't remember) but the tone was "A club with class". Then they were slagging us off for furloughing.

I said at the time it was too early to praise clubs for their actions with employees because the stage of making ppl redundant doesn't happen early on and if furloughing meant ppl still had jobs in 10 months time it would be ok.

I feel bad for the people who are out jobs now. I don't care the worked for Arsenal, still people's families losing out because of terrible management by the club.

The bright spot is they cut their scout who found Martinelli, Cesc, Bellerin and a few others. He will quickly be picked up by someone and Arsenal will lose his talents.

They won’t be the only club to make redundancies, as there is little the clubs can do to reduce their biggest overhead - the wages of players already under contract. However it doesn’t sit right with me that they’re announcing this while trying to add Willian to that wage bill.

It’s a horrible situation for the employees. And no doubt a tough decision for the club. I wonder what we’d say if Levy did this instead of the tapping into the Furlough scheme? I’d say in hindsight it was the right decision although this is way to early to say. It could still happen. For example the Superstore can be making much money and the hospitality certainly isn’t. From this month the club start sharing the burden of those wages. Let’s see how we come out the other side.

Looks horrible and almost unjustifiable letting so many go and then signing a player to a weekly pay deal of probably half of the 55's year combined salary
