I know It's cruel, but please forgive me, I can not deny myself the pleasure to share the brilliance of Arshavin in the game yesterday.
Zenit - Luch 8-1

Shava( nickname) was the main tormentor & orchestrator.

We need him heaven & earth at Spurs

I would like to hear an explanation from DC or DL as to why we failed to sign this boy.

The fee was agreed but Levy wanted to pay in installments.

As is normal. My suspicion is that Zenit had no real interest in selling unless we offered a truly insane price—they've been struggling in the league and have hopes of the CL knock-out stage, and need Arshavin far more than they need the money (which they don't need at all).

By the way, who wants to go to St. Petersburg ? All conditions paid by Zenit. I need 3-4 players from this Island to take part in Zenit Supporters Cup next year in September 2009. I want to win this Cup as manager. No joke.

He wants 5 English 'fans' of Zenith to participate in a 5 a side tournament all expenses paid by Zenith. That is what the fuck he was talking about.

I thought it was spelt Zenit  But whatever

And ostrov i am 18 years of age and i get paid to play football (only 100 pounds a game) semi professional.

I don't care what Arshavin did. How he played for Zenit does not mean he would play well for Spurs.

If this seasons has taught us anything, it's the big-name, big-money signings don't mean much. If we hadn't signed Modric, he'd be playing brilliantly in Croatia and we'd be purring over him. As it is, he's struggling to adapt to the Premiership. If Modric, Dos Santos, Pavlyuchenko, Bentley and Corluka have all failed to impress at Spurs, I don't see why Arshavin would be any different. It's entirely possible that with the right manager and the right tactics, we could have ensured that the new players settled in correctly. But apparently swapping centre-backs every game and playing Bentley on the left are the way forward...

With the money we've spent, we could have bought experienced Premiership players. We could even have chosen to hold on to players like Chimbonda, Tainio and Malbranque. But the board decided that stability and efficiency were less important than glamour signings. I don't regret us not buying Arshavin. I regret us thinking that this is Football Manager and that money = success.

I think we wasted too much time trying to sign him when ZSP had no real intention of selling. Add that to the time Levy wasting squeezing every last penny out of Utd (all no doubt recoup from our lower league finish as a result) and it is these futile efforts and no real signings in that same time which has left us where we are.

When is thisn pathetic AA lov in gonna come to an end? We needed a LM, top class DM, top class CB to replace King and a top class out and out goal scorer in the summer not another bloody midget who played the number 10 role that both GDS and Modric can play.

Perhaps it will end when people remember GDS is a kid and Modric isn't a number 10. We create NOTHING. Bent and Arshavin are proven goalscorers but some **** has to give them the fucking ball.
