Terrible article... the qoutes regarding VdV are totally disrespectful, to both players, let alone untrue.
VdV finished a fair few matches and was always very unhappy to be taken off (which was often precautionary).

To suggest that Arshavin is essentially a run around a bit with some skill but ultimately pointless and thus the right player for Spurs is a pathetic jibe and just another reason why i refuse to pay for/read a newspaper.

On a serious note, we would never buy him now - way too lazy for an AVB system.
I was pissed off when they signed him as he'd just been amazing for Russia in a tournament and we'd been linked heavily to his signature. Man I was wrong, thank God we didn't, plus his sizeable wage is another unwanted millstone around the Arse's neck.

That's where he should be. Not that I would want him with us (mentality all wrong) but Wenger has never made the most of what he has in Arshavin. Centrally he's a different player.

Agree with all of that, including the fact that I don't really want him. Team spirit is incredibly important
