Also there was the time u sold suarez after u saying he isnt going anywhere because his kids had just been enrolled in a local school. And for Ian i have been told both of our clubs have spoken to his people but his people told us you have to get rid of players before you could even think of going after him.

i have been told we want him but its not going to be a quick one and are focusing elsewhere at this moment.

He played about 30 league games for Real Madrid in each of the last two seasons, which isn't bad, considering he's competing with players like Modric and Kroos. I'd guess he'd be a slight upgrade on Died for CM

I think we had our chance to upgrade our central midfield options earlier in the summer, but for whatever reason, we passed on Imbula, Suarez, and Cabaye. Now, I don't expect to sign anyone capable of breaking into the starting lineup at this late stage. Not with the strict financial constrictions of no net spend and the need for a striker.
