The vast majority of Reds know Illra isn't even on the agenda as we all get our info from the same reliable people so I don't see why they would make those complaints.

@Toela65 - thanks for the info.

So it looks like it's Sociedad, Spurs or possibly an Italian club as Illarra's choices.

Maybe you should give every single poster/post who, IMO quite justifiably sometimes, disagrees with your unrealistically positive view of all things Spurs a bad neg. That might make you feel better.

Oh, I see you have already been doing that all day everyday since the window opened.

As a response, every time you have been unfairly and unnecessarily doing this to peoples posts who have the utter temerity to see things a little bit different to you, I have been, and will continue to, give the same posta 'like' to bring justice and balance to the universe.

By all means hit the disagree but giving a bad neg like D'oh because someone posted quite fairly that Spurs should be doing their deals earlier in the window as best practice is completely unfair and OTT.

Sorry but I HATE it when people cannot accept any other POV other than their own and try to punish and deter people from this using neg ratings.

I think someone needs to eat a snickers.

Your have turned into a right Diva since your team cant beat Arsenal and West Ham can.... :D

Now to be serious..... No point going back putting on likes to people's posts i am sure that is childish and against the site rules.

It seems you only come here where Lolapool are doing well! last season you was nowhere to be seen at the end of the season. Also there was the time u sold suarez after u saying he isnt going anywhere because his kids had just been enrolled in a local school. After he went you disapeared and didnt come back for a long time.

As far as im aware You dont get ITK it is only from Rawk so dont talk like you do please.

And for Ian i have been told both of our clubs have spoken to his people but his people told us you have to get rid of players before you could even think of going after him.

i have been told we want him but its not going to be a quick one and are focusing elsewhere at this moment.

He played about 30 league games for Real Madrid in each of the last two seasons, which isn't bad, considering he's competing with players like Modric and Kroos. I'd guess he'd be a slight upgrade on Died for CM ;)

Valid point, but theres only one way to be sure (people said Modric wouldn't cut it in England). Hopefully he won't be proving that he can in a red shirt.

This is a done deal, according to EFE via Marca: http://www.marca.com/en/2015/08/25/en/football/real_madrid/1440499131.html

I think we had our chance to upgrade our central midfield options earlier in the summer, but for whatever reason, we passed on Imbula, Suarez, and Cabaye. Now, I don't expect to sign anyone capable of breaking into the starting lineup at this late stage. Not with the strict financial constrictions of no net spend and the need for a striker.

Well that's that. ITK's can't trump the PR arm of the world's richest club. And seems to have been very "misinformed" as he wasn't waiting and especially for a bigger club than us/ Seems like we never even looked.

For the BSoDL.........he's poo and if we wanted him we would have gotten him but we don't buy shit. Especially shit that gets in the way of our wunderkind

for the Leviathans..........you'd fuck up a wet dream you cheap procrastinator who couldn't buy a good player unless you were trying to buy another player. But at least you can get some time for your star studded academy that is bound to be the who' who of league 2.

For the rest of us......seems like a squandered opportunity and didn't seem to play the role of a Pritchard, Winks or Onomah. Hope we don't regret this

The impotant thing that comes from the overall narrative is that we were never involved. In any fashion. We never bid. We never talked to them. We probably never even scouted him. We at SC probably know more about him that anybody at the club.

This feels like the usual modus operandi of the club : Feed misinformation that we are interested in big-name player, make preliminiary enquiry to be seen to be interested, then radio silence and end up signing player Z who's 6th choice and cheap as chips.

I didn't find the ITK believable that he was Poch's top target all of a sudden. Really think he would struggle in the PL any way. Not suited to the tempo here.

So in summary:

  1. We've missed some of the better dms available.
  2. They've gone to clubs we could compete with.
  3. We've sold all of our dms, you'd think clearing the decks for us to bring one or two in.
  4. We've started the season with a converted cb playing the role.
  5. We seem no closer to signing one and are starting to be linked to 30 year old journey men like Clement.
I'm generally quite patient, but it's starting to look like we've made a horse's arse of this again.

Yep I'm losing faith let's see how it pans out in the next 5/6 days but I'm fully expecting Clement now or no one at all.

Pretty sure there may be other players out there who, you know , play in the DM/box to box role.

I don't know who, but to be honest if I did I would be working for the club instead of Mitchell

If this one is off then I don't see the despair - A Real Madrid player decided against us and instead stayed in his own country at his first club.

The player does get a say in this. You appreciate that he may have wanted to link up with his old club? Rather than change his entire lifestyle and live in a foreign country?

Or is that Levy's fault as well? If we were given the thumbs up from an agent - likely - then why wouldn't we go after it?

There's no indication all our eggs are in one basket, so why the meltdown I don't know? I'm not entirely sure what's wrong with a lot of you!
