I would argue that the chances of him next season wearing a UTD, Chelsea (or, even, dare I say it.......an Arsenal one) shirt are a hell of a lot higher if he goes to Bayern.

If he goes there and Chelsea offer £100m next season they'd take it and he could sign without the risk to his reputation or his relationship with Spurs fans.

If people are worried about him turning out for another London club then going abroad for a year is probably the only way he can do it without a massive backlash

Once he leaves Spurs I could not care less who he plays for. Bit of a small club mentality!

Sorry, but I can't see Spurs fans forgiving him if he joins another London club, even if he spends 1 or 2 seasons in Germany or Spain beforehand. The thought of him playing for a Manc team is bad enough, but Woolwich or Chelscum?

Then he's going to the wrong club to do that.
Bayern make contracts for life and are very difficult to wriggle away from if you want to go, and they want to keep you(try getting out of an insurance in Germany). Ironically they're also good at eliminating unwanted surplus.
I think he'll do well at first and get his Bundesliga medal in the most predictable league in the world, but the shit will start to hit the pan in the second season(Tuchel doesn't last more than 2 seasons).
